Thanks for making this video. I wanted to know more about this camera and the kit, and you provided plenty of really useful information. Great video!
Thank you for the info about the Accessories, I just got the v770 and I was looking for a mic, leans and other items, this helped me a lot to deiced on what to get and why, thank you for sharing you knowledge and experience :)
Super review. My compliments.
do you have any sample vids with the wide angle lens? thanks!!
Thanks for the comment! I like the boom mic that I reviewed in this video, but I like the Vidpro lavalier mic that I reviewed in another video better (at least for solo work). It allows me to move around and still pick my voice up well no matter what. I have to be fairly close to the boom mic to adequately pick up my voice, although it would work better for picking up the audio in a room as a whole. Having a handheld mic would probably be best for interviews though. Also, check out my review of the Ravelli AVTP Tripod. For the price it's a great buy.
Hi Chris, I relate to you. Love technology just like you. I liked everything you did and your comments as well. but I am surprised the lighting was so bad. I could not SEE the details in many instances (or is it my monitor?). This is a constructive comment of course. Good luck.
Parts of this video were recorded on my tablet, which doesn't have a video light. And when I used the camcorder to record, I didn't have the camera light on, because it was on the desk being reviewed. That may be why it seems dark to you. I did however have a 10w LED, 4ft of double row led tape, and three 60w incandescent bulbs lighting the work bench, which should have been ample lighting.
Most of the time I record at night when there's no natural light coming into the room which may also contribute to the diminished lighting. I recently purchased a new LED video light that I reviewed here: ua-cam.com/video/DT1XEn-LREg/v-deo.html. See if the lighting is better in that video.
Either that, or it truly is your monitor? Not sure. Thank you for your comment and constructive criticism. That's how I make better content!
Thank you for your feedback.
Does this camcorder have a hotshoe
It's more like a "cold shoe" than a hot shoe in that there are no power pins or useful connections. It is an accessory that clips into the back of t he camcorder that will hold your accessories.
Why dont you put the LED mount on from the other side and remove the hand strap limitations. Would just be a case of opening the screen first. I don't think it would block your view of the screen that much.
Not a bad idea. I have another mount to attach the light to now. Thanks for your comment.
I was looking for a wide angle lens for my camera. Do you have any suggestions?
I've only ever had experience with the Precision Design lenses used in this video. They worked well for their intended purposes however I didn't use them that much.
Is it possible to pause and continue the same recording or will the camera create a new file?
The camera will create a new clip each time you press the record button. The files can be combined with the free editing software that's available on Panasonic's website.
Great, many thanks for the response.
Can you please recommend a stronger battery for me. I mean one that I can use with the HC-V770
Search for VW-VBT380. That's the model # for the high capacity battery.
Ok thank you I’ve seen it.
Is there any battery that is stronger than the VW-VBT380?
@@johnjabang I use battery banks that I found at Costco. The same one that you can plug into your cell phone. I also bought a powerbank like the kind that can jump start your car. I use the powerbank to run a 12v monitor and to keep my camera charged. I can record high school football games without plugin into an outlet. I also record 4 lacrosse games in a day at a tournaments without recharging.
Where can you get the lenses for this cam ?
I purchased a package from Cameta Camera which included the camera, tripod, light, microphone, lenses, bag, and some other accessories. They sell the items individually. I've seen the lense kits on eBay and Amazon as well.
how do you use this as a webcam
You can live stream using Panasonic LUMIX to the USTREAM network but that seems like it. I haven't been able to use it as a traditional webcam or over USB.
