Gir lions are in urgent need of partial relocation (relocation of part of the original population) but Gujarat will not allow it for fear of loosing monopoly over the lions
@@sarbansengupta6894 'GIR' Lions are From 'Gujarat', Since they are from Gujarat, Born in 'Gujarat', Native to 'Gujarat' and Protected in 'Gujarat' why would they want to loose it
@nomulahemanth If the Assamese if thought in a similar way, satellite populations of Indian Rhinos would not exist today. Sometimes you have to think for the greater good

Truth be told only rural Indians can accept carnivorous apex predators in their vicinity despite poverty and other hardships on other hand just look at many "civilized" western nations which have totally culled their native predator populations centuries ago in the name of development, safety, safety of cattle etc.
@@LostinMangoIn rural regions wild animals can create fear & havoc and every human life is precious no denying still just compare how many Indians died due to animal attacks vs how many lost their lives due to murders, ra*pes, armed criminals, terrorism, avoidable accidents etc you will quickly realize Humans are infact the most dangerous animals...like you have more chance of getting hit by some reckless motorbiker than a Lion/Tiger attack.
That happened centuries ago whe n human awareness was at it's lowest. Since then so many conservation programs have been set up across the world and western population has actually decreased - immigration is the main reason for population growth in those countries unlike India. Local population growth must be controlled else no spave will be left for these wild animals.
Our government should take serious action on the conservation of this species, over population can be tackled by relocating some individuals to other sanctuary in the country, and so a seperate population can be established in the country again, we have so many wildlife sanctuaries in our country, don't they deserve a pair of the majestic and rare asiatic lions
Gujarat Government is in contempt of the SC Order to transfer lions to Kuno in MP. This blatant disregard lead to amongst other issues the canine distemper deathes fiasco.
This is heartwarming 💖 ... it is indeed remarkable how even with so much poverty the rural population is so cooperative and tolerant of the human-lion conflict.. hard to see this even in western developed nations, take europe for example a small spike in wolf population will trigger a protest by farmers to cull..
what no one ever talks about is (human) population control. there is only problem in India, and that is of overpopulation. everything else is connected to over population. the more we unsee the problem the worse our lives will get PERIOD
We need to reintroduce lions back to Rajasthan and Madhya Pradesh, where they will once again be the dominant apex predator, rather than the tiger, which has enjoyed 70 to 100 years or more with no competition

I would request the Eco India team to investigate and make video on the Wild Cat Caracal
It might have gone extinct in India without anybody noticing

Giustissimo pensiero!
'Overpopulation'? Gujarat's Fertility rate fell below 1.9, which means It's native population starts decreasing in next years
Nope around 50% escape illegally to other countries 😊
It's lion overpopulation

The Lions of Gir have found new habitats across all of Saurashtra not just Junagarh and Somnath

Should transfer few lions to kuno
What about cheetahs then?
Relocation is urgently required
Why can’t there be restrictions on speed (Road & Railways) while crossing lion & eco zone?
I wish i could have them in Bangladesh ❤
We need more forests fir these majestic animals. I hope Indian government takes effective step.
gotta love these activists. I wonder who has the courage to stand still in front of a lion from 10 ft away
they need to export them to australia..there so many buffalo's, goats, horses at large ..introduced by ppl many years back
Yet another amazing video by scrolll
New habitat within gujarat also not developed
Nice Story
Relocate the villages and increase the area of lions

we should export Asiatic lions to other countries where they have gone extinct.
Why did they become extinct in those countries ? 🤔
because humans dont like other apex predators.
India should give some of them in other asian countries too
So that they can hunt them and sell their skin to Chinese??????
We are not going to do that!!!
Asiatic Cheetah of Iran has become extinct
While population of Asiatic lions in India is increasing
Any explanation why ?
So they can kill them? No thank you
