  • Steam Jet Ejectors, the largest vacuum producing devices available are used in the most demanding of applications. Virtually maintenance-free with no moving parts, they can be fabricated from almost any material, and can be used in every industry that requires vacuum. Ejectors can be designed to operate without steam as their pressurized (motive) source. In addition to operating well into the micron HgA range, they can also operate well above atmospheric pressure.
    Graham has mastered Steam Ejector design. Featuring proven, unique internal geometries and tightly tolerance-controlled steam nozzle configurations, Graham ejectors produce very low steam consumption and highly efficient operation. As an experienced provider of Engineering Answers since 1936, Graham maintains the most comprehensive database of actual steam ejector performance information available today.
    Combine Graham Steam Jet Ejectors with other Graham equipment, such as Process Condensers and Liquid Ring Pumps, and you have a single source of supply and a responsible, total solution for process equipment needs.
    Since 1936 Graham Corporation has been supporting our customers around the globe with heat exchangers, water heaters, steam surface condensers, steam jet ejectors steam vacuums, refrigeration equipment, liquid ring vacuum pumps, fume scrubbers, desuperheaters, and atmospheric relief valves are confidently used in process, power generation, marine and commercial industries worldwide.

Saludos desde Venezuela.

    so the point that affect to how much vacuum be achieved is pressure from nozzle, am i right? is temperature and density of fluid will be effected to vacuum? for example i change the steam to ethylene glicol vapor. i'm working in polymer indutry, i need to understand how it works and what paramater that effect to it. thanks

    • @PauloTeixeiraJr
      @PauloTeixeiraJr 7 років тому +3

      The principle in a ethylene glycol vapor motivated jet ejector is the same one of a steam jet ejector. How low can you go in the suction is not directly related to the motive pressure. You can go as low as 3 micron with a 6 stage steam jet ejector, but steam consumption is another story. And you cannot simply change a steam motivated ejector to ethylene glycol vapor. You need to design the ejector to ethylene glycol vapor.

    In converging section of diffuser , as area is decreasing then how pressure will increase, as u said it will decrease. But pressure is in direct relation with area ???????? Please correct me if i am wrong.

    • @GrahamCorporation

      Thank you for your question. There is a detailed review of this subject in a paper published on Graham's website found at www.graham-mfg.com/usr/pdf/TechLibVacuum/Article_-_A_Mystery_Solved_2017_Hydrocarbon_Engineering.pdf

    • @retovath
      @retovath 6 років тому +1

      The simple explanation is that because there is a pressure gradient, as the fluid or gas is pressed through the converging nozzle accelerates( the continuity equation gives you this fact) to maintain mass flowrate. After that, the diverging nozzle allows the gas to expand to the next pressure step in the system, further increasing velocity.
