Broooo just hearing you talk about Galveston has me itching to take a day trip 🥺 the confectionary on the strand was a staple of my summers for years.... we used to get a cabin on crystal beach and stay for a week 😂 it was always super loud with all the family, but a blast all the same!
I kind of wish I wasn’t such an organised neat freak, then instead of clearing out my bags and putting stuff away, I would have time capsules to re discover!
I found this out earlier this year and it’s so tragic. The next day my kids were watching All Dogs Go to Heaven and I almost cried hearing her voice playing the little girl. Heart wrenching.

There were the ViewMaster toys too... you put discs with picture slides in them and then with a pull of a lever on the side advance to the next slide. Some of the slides looked 3D too. I liked the ViewMasters that looked like Mickey Mouse. 🙂

The doll 'popping her wig' as it were, was Jenine Melnitz from The Real Ghostbusters cartoon ^_^ The store you're thinking of is The Nature Company, I think. I miss that place. Its natural habitat was the local mall, and it was the only place I ever wanted to go. It had crystals and other assorted rocks, posters, rain sticks, telescopes microscopes, nature pack things that had samples you could look through, and a bunch of other stuff. It was THE BEST place in the mall, bar none.
The one in my mall in the 90s was called nature's habitat but it's exactly as she and you describe. I too loved that store. I always had to go in there anytime we went to the mall.
That was so interesting and so much fun. I only remember Troll dolls, but I born in 1968 and I was a new Mother of a boy around this time so I have jack and squat memories of most all of those items. Ahso. 💚💚

The nature store you mentioned sounds like nature's habitat. At least that's what the one in my mall was called back in the day. It also had a lot of nature stuff but definitely had a hippy vibe to it. I was born in 82 and I remember shopping at ours in the 90s.

The store you're thinking of is The Nature Company, I think. I miss that place. Its natural habitat was the local mall, and it was the only place I ever wanted to go. It had crystals and other assorted rocks, posters, rain sticks, telescopes microscopes, nature pack things that had samples you could look through, and a bunch of other stuff.
It was THE BEST place in the mall, bar none.
The one in my mall in the 90s was called nature's habitat but it's exactly as she and you describe. I too loved that store. I always had to go in there anytime we went to the mall.

That was so interesting and so much fun. I only remember Troll dolls, but I born in 1968 and I was a new Mother of a boy around this time so I have jack and squat memories of most all of those items. Ahso. 💚💚

The nature store you mentioned sounds like nature's habitat. At least that's what the one in my mall was called back in the day. It also had a lot of nature stuff but definitely had a hippy vibe to it. I was born in 82 and I remember shopping at ours in the 90s.
