A lot of people are saying these animation aren't as cool as human revolution, I say maybe so but i believe Adam has gotten use to his augs and realized how powerful he really is and no longer needs to go overkill on people.
Cool video. It seems Adam's jacket can have its sleeves roll up automatically when he needs to brandish the nano-ceramic blades. I want a jacket like that...
I'm gonna be honest here. Most of the takedown animations in this aren't quiet as cool as the ones in Human Revolution. But, that's just in my opinion.
I Literally was looking for someone to say this, I fee like maybe they were made quicker and he got more efficient rather than being more, "Preminitave" But atleast they aent BAD take downs but I do agree with you so much
So I played HUman revolution right before Mankind Divided as a yearly thing, and I must say the complete opposite: The quickness, the thoroughness and the effectiveness really enhances the "stealthy sneaky stabby" act of Jensen that you'd expect
Here's a theory for why the animations are simple...Jensen's tired. He's probably worn out from having to keep fighting and just want to relax for once.
Here's a theory for why the animations are simple...Devs are tired. They've probably worn out from having to keep quality and just want to relax for once.
Gotta love how all of these have about as much effort as cutscenes, even blend back into gameplay better than cutscenes do, its a shame you can't say that about newer games.
Interesting. There's some double takedowns I've never seen before. Hell, I didn't even know there were specific takedowns when enemies are behind weak walls.
He "missed" the punch. Depening on where you take down an enemy, there is a chance that the geometry of the game messes a little bit with the animations, causing some weird thing like the missed punch.
The way lethal and unlethal should've worked i this game: lethal is quick and very quiet but gives you less XP while unlethal is louder and victims can potentially wake up, but you get more XP for being merciful. Instead lethal takedowns don't give you any advantage: they are louder and grant fewer XP points. The game itself favors unlethal approach.
Lethal and non lethal should have no difference in amount of XP earned and both should be quiet. Instead it should affect how others feel about Jensen, some approve of it while others don’t. This was how it was in the original deus ex except the noise part.
The animations this time are too fast compared to DE:HR. While i do like the DE:HR animations more, i think there is a justification for why the DE:MD animations are like that. You see, Adam in DE:HR was new to his augmentations, never used them outside of breaking the mirror in his apartment, so he had low expectations and wanted to be very careful (1). However in DE:MD he is very used to them, he knows how they work, he knows that one or two blows from his hands when they are in combat mode would knock out whatever, big or small, armored or not. So this time around he's not as careful(and a bit cocky really) because he knows what he's capable of with his augmentations. However, this theory ia not that strong, since Adam in DE:HR sometimes does some reckless stuff. e.g : one of ths double takedowns, he headbutts one enemy, the other tries to get him off so he turns to him and also head butts him, that's reckless and also shows that he knows what he's doing. (1) : Take this example, in one takedown in DE:HR : Adam presses the shoulder of his enemy until his hand is on the floor, then bends the enemy's elbow so he can't use his hand, only then does he deliver the finishing blow. Now compare that with Adam in DE:MD turning the enemy's face to him, then head butting him.
3 years late, but if you decide to make a new playthrough, just go up to your enemy and press the button you do stealth takedowns with, if it doesn't work, you don't have enough energy to do it.
I upload everything in 4k (mostly upscaled) because of two reasons: 1. I scale the video with the "bicubic spline" interpolation. Everyone with a 4k screen who watches a 1080p video will most probably have a blurrier image as UA-cam only uses simple upscaling interpolation. My videos however will look a bit more sharper due to the bicubic spline interpolation on a 4k resolution. 2. UA-cam's compression is damn strong. Even though the game itself does not run at 4k, the whole video itself will look less compressed on 4k and therefore a bit more clear. And the FPS are not staying at 60 FPS as my GPU at that time (GTX980) was not the best one and the game itself didn't had the best performance when I recorded all those finishers. I do not know how the game runs today, but at the launch of the game the performance was not the best. Dropping the graphics settings didn't barely do anything for my framerate and therefore I stuck with everything maxed out :)

I like how he covers the body too after takedown, Maintaining stealth and reducing the work load while being efficient.
These seem less flashy and more...professional / expedient
3:14 is just awesome
same with 4:22
i know both are the same
Cool video. It seems Adam's jacket can have its sleeves roll up automatically when he needs to brandish the nano-ceramic blades. I want a jacket like that...
Yeah, a jacket like that would be nice :D
Trust me when I say you would both look awful and cringy in a jacket like that. I would, as well.
HarpoTheVillain it looks good only for jensen

Agreed, still pretty cool tough

That's because this guy is a clone of Adam Jensen and not the genuine article ;D
@@niteshmurti i refuse to believe that whole theory

Great seeing this Not in 2 fps, I need a new computer.
@d3volvd I bet anything your comment here didn't age well. What you got now homie?

Better fill up on Cyberboost bars then

Or a special takedown for the final boss
@@obamacheck3567 It wasn't special, those are the same animations with powersuits cops
The problem of takedowns near the breakable walls is in low quantity of such places throughout the game :/
If I ever achieved the “No killing” achievement, I’ll make a new game, and become an assassin
1:21
“God dammit. Been stabbed.” 😒
i love how this time you hide the body instead HR xd
I miss the twisty hand from human revolution :(
1:48 is the best takedown
I kinda like the takedowns from the first one better, especially the sounds!
Was he miss the punch or intentionally he punched the ceiling? 2:21
He "missed" the punch. Depening on where you take down an enemy, there is a chance that the geometry of the game messes a little bit with the animations, causing some weird thing like the missed punch.
Just curious, that gold suit is it a normal variation, or do have to beat the game to get it? I don't have the game.
It a feature that you got when you bought the day one edition of the game.
sucks that they removed the overdramatic sound effects
I wish you could use the blade in normal combat. Like a sword
I want this in cyber punk
It's John wick but a cyborg.

@@abak3d_potato498 Yep, your idea is even better. I didn't play original Deus Ex. Think it is too late at this point.
Nice vid 👌
How did you make lethal and non-lethal wall takedowns?
You have to stand near a weak wall and use smart vision to look at the enemy. This allows you to perform a wall takedown if the enemy is close to it.
0:59 - 1:04 LOLL!

k when 8k video will come out,,?
8k video?
Damn this looks way better than ps4 pro
how can i use melee???

I combat in reality this 😂😂❤💙
mhh naja dann halt weiter human revolution :P
В Human revolution как-то красочнее было что ли)
Да, там анимации намного брутальней и разнообразней вышли. Хотя эти тоже ничего
what graphic settings are you playing on
1080p at max settings

To be honest, animations here are often bad
