(Edited for spelling) This was a very weird series. The tone and mood shifted wildly from slapstick comedy to moody, serious dramatic, and whatever they were trying to convey with the scenes shot using almost nothing but shadows.
Another weird issue was some scenes were very very very long (with no dialogue) or in slow mo; like they didn't have enough content and were trying to fill up screen time.
But!!
Other times, important scenes were apparently never shot at all; scenes that were important emotionally or to explain story points (like not showing the Emperor finding his lover's body).
It started off a lot of light-hearted fun and ended up super serious and depressing. It was still better than almost 90% of the chinese short dramas I have seen though. And I liked the actors.
These bizarre choices by the writers, director, or producers took away from what could have been a great series. They just really needed to pick a tone, ANY tone, and go with it.
@@heatherheardwhat1103 the TV series is 33 minutes long, 24 episodes. These are just slice together to make a movie without copyright infringement

I watched all the individual episodes, and these were my thoughts. As I mentioned, the tone shifted wildly, so I think the issues were the writers' or directors' fault, not an editing problem. Just very odd.

@@gabypayan2382 I think they both died and reunited in the afterlife. He died in battle, and she deliberately went out in the rain, got sick, and died. Then their souls met in the afterlife equivalent of her rooms, where she said she would wait, the place they both wanted to be. Anyway, that's my best guess.

Drama intéressant; parfois il manque des scènes pour tout comprendre; fin ambiguë c’est dommage et pour les scènes de baisers, vous pouvez juste oublier

The ending was sad, both men lost their loves. It was a good movie, that kept one wondering with all the twists and turns of palace politics if love would win. It did and didn’t. One Prince would find a woman to give his heart to- she walked away leaving him only with memories. The other had his love waiting for him after the battle, but he died along with all his men- she felt his death deep in her soul, yet still waited. Did she spend the rest of her life waiting to join him in death finally? We are not really sure
Only she seemed to see him again in the end. She seemed to have lost interest in food , so I think she was dead. Whatever the truth, this story gripped my emotions, the ending was not what I wanted, but sometimes, lovers do not get a happy ever after, because life is not always fair or kind. Yet the Love remains.
Oh I am scared to watch now. I LIKED THE OPENING OF DRAMA, IT WAS different but now I am scared by ending😢
@@ammaraawan1328 watch it, it will break your heart but love always endures, if one avenue is blocked, it goes out into the Universe and waits for another two Hearts to touch. The body may die, the soul is eternal and Love never Dies, it merely waits….
