yep i'll be picking up a C80 soon to pair with my R5C for stills and b-cam. Never considered the R5II don't know why there isn't oversampled 4K60 option
You are going to love it. And I agree it was weird to me when i found out that the Canon R5 Mark ii was crippled. But then why would people buy the Cinema line of camera's lol.
Great video! If you shoot in clog, can the camera apply the LUT through HDMI during filming and playback? I remember that the C70 had this issue I believe. That’s why I never got it. Don’t think they ever fixed it with firmware. I know the R5 C cannot play back through HDMI with the LUT applied but can however, view it during live recording. Weird.
Don't recall having that problem ever with the C70. Ive always been able to Apply a LUT while playback and while using HDMI. I shoot CLOG 2 everything so that would have been a big deal. I use the HDMI port a lot with the C70 as well. I just remember going to the settings and applying the lut to the HDMI port and it worked perfectly. So the LCD would have the LUT and the HDMI Port would apply the lut as well to whatever screen you use. To answer your question though. Yes you can shoot in CLOG and apply the LUT and have a Rec709 image via SDI and HDMI.
you look great these days man

@@MichaelJohnsonProductions yeah agreed but why does my R6 from 4 years ago have oversampled 4k60? they must be worried about overheating i suppose...
That's true. Most likely the overheating problem then
