I can remember a local R&B DJ in my hometown being fired for playing 'Rock The Bells on air. He knew that song and that artist was on to something and decided to give it some local exposure. When LL blew up, he was re-hired. The dumb radio leadership people realized he was right. 50 years and rap is still here, and LL is an Icon.
True....but it really boils down to the PDs at these radio stations to provide that....especially now every radio station from coast to coast are using the same format and these simple-minded kids choose otherwise...I don't think that will never be a possibility

My favorite rapper, hands down. I love his music and acting. He's so diverse and humble and live. I can't wait to see him in concert. He's been in the game for so long, he's a true legend and still relevant today.
Hip Hop is revolutionary! To see artist from the early days still performing and living their life is awesome. Why cant our art form be just as great as the other genres? We need to treat our older artist with the same respect Rock n Roll, Pop, Country, etc does. LL came to my high school graduation at Andrew Jackson (1999). He was very humble, cool, and collected. Nice spirit then and still is now.
Congratulations to LL cool j for all of your achievements absolutely remember to keep God first in your life hallelujah 😁 enjoy your life with your family hallelujah 😊 congratulations again Paps f f
I saw LL in mount pleasant, michigan at the Soaring Eagle Casino. The Legend had a cold and still performed. Although he couldn't do an entire set, what he did Was iconic
I saw L.L. in Pittsburgh, pa. years back. His show is high energy! He came out of a giant boombox then proceeded to dance WHILE lyrically RIPPING up the stage!! The crowd couldn't believe it, we went CRAZY! I've been collecting giant Boomboxes and different color Kangol hats ever since! lol Looking forward to seeing what Q-Tip can manifest! Great interview! Liked and subscribed! GO Angela!!!
Great Interview Angela just wanted to show some love and once again Mr. Smith always drops some great words of wisdom that make you think. LL has been my favorite Role Model since I was a Kid and he's still one of the greatest Emcees of all time. "Mama said knock you out" is still my favorite LP and if you haven't seen him live make sure you do he's a true Emcee to the Art form. I met him way back in the day at the Ice cream Summerfest in the T Dot (Toronto, Canada). One of the nicest Guys who is super humble. Congratulations on the new album LL Cool J thank you for your contribution to Hip Hop. Shout outs to Phife Dawg from A Tribe Called Quest for making LL want to call Q Tip. ATCQ are my favorite Hip Hop group of all time so I have to give them their props too. I have to get tickets for this Tour it's going to be dope!!! RIP Phife 🙏🏾
Saw LL in the 80s, during the Bigger and Deffer album, he walked out of the cassette deck door of a gigantic boom box on stage, he slaughtered the stage
My favourite rapper of all times. His passion, his creation, his personality, his sense of humour, his knowledge. Love hearing about all the stories. So much talent, musician, tv star, movie star, so much passion. I hope he continue your into 2024. Pls do more Canada dates.

It's mostly because of Cha's character and how he treats his guests. Sometimes he gets a reality check and LL is smart enough to not indulge in stupid interviews.
I am happy LL cool j and others will be on Your I am a fan of all the artist's thank you for the video . Blessings To Everyone 💖 Angela xoxoxoxoxo ♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️♥️
I can't wait to see him July 1st, been waiting patiently for him to tour!!! I love his music and he is my all time favorite artist not to mention sexy!!! I love how he is always upbeat and positive! Well done interview with him Angela Yee!!!!
I love ❤️ it .. keep up the good work Angela that you always knew could revolutionize "talk radio" in a positive uplifting manner for Black people... Kudos!!! 😉👍
I really wish Angela Yee would stick to more of the one on one interviews and shows and just bring on guest hosts once in a while. I hate it when 5 people are talking all at once and the person being interviewed can barely get two words in. Like this was a great interview, he got a chance to speak without interruption.
The song "Father", the lyrics are about little boys/teen boys getting physically abused by their step-fathers or fathers or older male relatives and kids seeing violence between their parents/family members, etc.
Im from Cincinnati but i live in Maine,,he right that Maine didnt know about hip hop and rap,,I didnt live here then. But now everybody in Maine knows about rap and hip hop. Thats a good story about Maine thats true.

That brother doesn’t age . One of the Goat ‘s 🎉🎉🎉
Saw LL at Essence Fest years ago and I’m telling you his talent is amazing. He was rapping while jumping up and down the entire song.

I like how LL articulated himself during the interview. The growth he’s showing is to be commended.
LL had to direct Angela Yee!!. He framed the interview for she is not the sharpest.
Lol...I wouldn't call it growth bcuz he's been that same way for 30 years as he was on this interview
