I took business for college/university. Nothing is right. Especially international business. Sorry, in school and this powerpoint..it is all wrong. Everything is wrong..the focus is wrong..and you will nerf yourself trying to grasp what you actually need to do.
How come Theory leads to Hypothesis? I thought it was other way around. A Hypothesis is tested via predictability of the "proposition" aka Hypothesis. I think Hypothesis leads to Theory. Theory means, it has evidence, whether mathematical or otherwise to support it, a theory which began as a Hypothesis.
I think what it means is that theory should essentially enable prediction; which as you know is an intelligent guess about how a phenomenon is likely to turn out. That is hypothesizing.
It's a flip flopping between academic and scientific terminology. They start with an academic theory and then that may lead to a scientific hypothesis which in turn would lead to a scientific theory.

A ToE, of which there are two, physical and metaphorical, dues not least to a hypothesis. So perhaps such a thing isn't a theory?
It is hypothesis that leads to the development of a theory after phenomena has been verified by way of credible evidence.
