Many varities of birds, iguanas,turtles,so many more!! There was a really long old fashioned lunch counter where friends and family would congregate. Back then it was somewhat of a unique place in downtown Hou. It was located not far from the Rice Hotel where J F K stayed the night before going to Dallas. I believe my bosses name was Mr Tombes, fiftyish, could speak very fluent Spanish, and was very respectful of this teenage girl back then. and

Reynolds Wrap was invented there? Hmm! They used to sell it for Christmas present wrapping paper with lots of different prints and styles.
I wish they still had it available, it's nearly impossible to find. Just an occasional old ad here and there.

Remake of the classic Joan Crawford "Mildred Pierce" is being shot at Winfield Hall for a February 2011 HBO mini-series.
The location scouting site for this house lists that there is only one usable bathroom, no air conditioning, poor heating, and that the windows don't open.
