Does the perfect touch gel flake?
It doesn't flake but it hardens a little
Hi lato, I know this has absolutely nothing to do with this video but I'd just like your opinion on something.
Do you oil your scalp, and if so.. how often? Because I recently heard someone say that oiling your scalp is actually blocking your hair from growing since oils cause buildups. I strongly believe in oiling your scalp but because my hair has been the same length for two years, I'm starting to think that maybe oiling your scalp is wrong. I'd like to know what your views on this are.
Hey sis🌸 Good question. To be honest, its true that oiling your scalp too much can block the pores in your actual scalp. But I do think everything depends on how you go about it. I oil my scalp thrice a week-if I remember. I don't oil it down to the T. I just put a little bit on my finger tips and massage for 3-5 minutes.
It also depends on the oils you use. Using thicker oils like castor oil (a fave) and olive oil more than 4 times a week is a bit of a danger zone. I also feel like mixing a lot of oils together can cause the clogging if applied too often.
So basically I personally try to massage my scalp with a lightweight oil on its own every other day. If I'm craving castor oil, I'll only massage 4 times a week.
Last point I promise😂 I genuinely feel like my hair has beeeen at the same length as well! But it's definitely grown thicker. Your hair will grow no matter what you do to it. Its more of retaining length-which is actually different from growth. And it all starts with taking care of your ends 😬 and part of THAT is making sure that they're moisturised "more than" the rest of your hair and then sealed with an oil. I used to do that religiously and I saw a massive improvement.
