I'm so disappointed in the Tortoises. They could have won this one cmon! They got kicked out of the leaderboard by RED PANDAS, an animal that breeds only 1 day a year!
Ikr. Everytime I have tortoises I'm like "ok have babies" and go to work on something else. Come back and they have 30 baby tortoises that take forever to mature, so you wait until you put them on conception. Go away and do something else, then come back. They've all matured, and have more babies. All of them inbred.
I've edited things down to 'those appearing on the leaderboard', as video footage from everything came to around 25 hours total, and I'm pretty certain nobody wants to sit through 25 hours of this nonsense 😂 Don't worry, peafowls get a lot of screen time in tomorrow's Part 3 video!
Most likely because I ran this in franchise mode. The selection of animals available is based on their conservation status, so ones like the pandas, they are a little older and their stats aren't great.
Oh, absolutely, I'll do a tutorial on it. It's not difficult once you get the hang of it, it's just making sure everything is square and to the right barrier lengths. Took a little fiddling to work out the first time, then it's easy to repeat. With a little tweaking, this could actually be a great layout for optimising space and 'maximum view' appeal for guests. It's on my to do list
Pre-launching the challenge, I breeded animals to get their best possible breeding times. The game however has longevity genetics, as well as fertility that influences how they breed and how long they live. I did the best I could to improve these, but some just didn't comply. I spent 3 weeks working on this, breeding and disregarding animals for all 92 species, to come up with the OG pairs you see in the challenge, which looking on Steam was around 90 hours gameplay (I'm not kidding), any longer than that I would go insane!
The ostrich is what perfection looks like. You may not like it, but that bird is what peak performance looks like.
11:28 to 11:40 gators when they bask in the sun and gators that are dead are so similar that I can’t tell which is which
The baby arctic foxes with cthulhu tails!
It is rather disturbing when the babies start life as some weird mushed together creature with several heads and tails!
6:08 Penultimate arctic fox litter
Ostrich:gas gas gas 4 more offspring
8:10 Wild dogs had 3 litters and they had 12 offspring in the end, that is a mistake
I love the red pandas and wild dogs!!!!
What are they, ostriches or rabbits?

They can't catch a break! I'm determined to find something they excel in one day!

I actually rlly wanna do this now xD
It is rather fun, albeit quite taxing on the computer!
Me to
where are the indian peafowl? They are breeding pretty well too and you did not show them at all in the video :((

Surprised I didn't hear anything about the peacock. I feel like they reproduce at a similar explosive rate.
If I recall the peacocks do catch up at some stage. They're certainly one of the more prolific breeders!
What is it with the Ostriches winning literally every competition. They really need to be stopped sometime soon!
Spoiler😡😡😡
Make a animal eating competition the ostrich won’t win that!
Why are the animals dying at such a young age? Is this because it is in sandbox mode? My pandas in franchise mode usually die at 20-30 years old.

@@PlasticSwans alright, great video by the way! Of course the ostriches are on top always causikg problems in my zoos, breeding like rabbits😂
can you do a vid on how you designed the set up? i would like to recreate it
edit: or you could make a blueprint and put it in the workshop?

@@PlasticSwans alrighty thank you!
Is there a way to get younger animals so they don't die so fast

@@PlasticSwans oh ok. I just wasn't sure
Hearing an 8-year-old panda being called very old is very strange to me, as they can live into their 20s in the game.
It may seem strange, but if I restarted those that died early, I'd be constantly restarting, which wasn't an option
THISI IS A PUPPEY MILL
why is it every time that i vote it fails well hopefully galapagos tortoise can get second
Bro alligator genes are too bad
