Life is full of transitions. We learn early on change is inevitable: moving from elementary school to middle school, graduating from high school, getting a job, and navigating relationships. Many transitions are exciting: renting a first apartment and getting married. Other transitions are hard and/or come unexpectedly: moving away from home, losing someone close to you, or acquiring a new disability. Transitioning through life’s changes can be exciting and scary at the same time.
We have learned the best tool for navigating transition is a support network. None of us could do this life alone and we don’t have to. We have our friends, families, and communities to support us. Paraquad is a community resource that partners with people with disabilities and their families wherever they are on their journey of life. We celebrate the wins, and we are there during the rough patches - making each step less scary. Whether you’re a parent trying to navigate the school systems with your child with a disability, a teenager figuring out what to do after high school, an adult interested in going back to work after acquiring a disability, or you are wanting to hold onto your independence and mobility through the aging process - Paraquad is here.
Paraquad staff have deep understanding and expertise through lived experience and are dedicated to assisting in all life’s transitions.
For one day - April 11 - we will raise $110,000 to support programs that support people through life’s many transitions.
