What does the sons of the bondwoman mean?
Just as Isaac was born through promise and is contrasted with Ishmael born after the flesh, Sarah (Isaac’s mum) is the free woman while Hagar is the bondwoman according to scripture. Islam is traceable to Ishmael. Hence the sons of the bond woman in the way it is use in this message refers to Islam.
@bastian saputra. This passage in Galatians explains the typology: "These things serve as illustrations, for the women represent two covenants. One covenant is from Mount Sinai and bears children into slavery: This is Hagar. Now Hagar stands for Mount Sinai in Arabia and corresponds to the present-day Jerusalem, because she is in slavery with her children. But the Jerusalem above is free, and she is our mother"
Galatians 4:24-26
So how is natural Jerusalem in slavery? Because as Paul was writing and it applies to everyone who lives under the old covenant from Sinai... the Mosaic law, of ordinances feasts and commandments. Apostle Paul says further in
Gal 5:1-4 on that anyone who insists on living under the Sinai covenant makes the grace of God of no effect and are cut off from Christ. We the believers in Christ no longer live under the old system which he abolished and put away, but under the law of the Spirit of Christ in us.
So sons of the bond woman are believers who are aiming for righteousness by observing some or all of the old covenant requirements which no-one cannot of course. Christ is the only one who in his manifestation and finally suffering death and Resurrection fulfilled the righteous requirement of the law.
U cannot have authority over a demon your cohabiting with🔥🔥
Willingly ignorant leaders beget willingly ignorant followers. No real discipleship happening. They persecute and criticize those who speak truth. Very little of the spiritual realm is talked about or learned in most seminaries. Taboo. Fear of man.
