I saw the show at Milan, Italy, in 2017 and the scene of magenta and riff raff undressing brad and Janet was much funnier, cause their sexual advances to the couple where much more explicit. I laughed so hard XD
From watching the rest of the production, I think it was projected on the curtain and had no light from behind it and he just opened it in time with the music!
The only thing I've ever questioned about the show is the bridge of the song. How is Rocky capable of seeing this fully omnipotent being from the future (remember he's telling the story in retrospect, like the guy from Reefer Madness) who's supposed to not be a part of the actual story? He clearly only gets seen by us (the audience) and Rocky, while the entire rest of the cast is completely oblivious to the fact that this dude keeps popping up out of nowhere and talking to Rocky and us behind their back. Is Rocky hallucinating? Is the Criminologist actually there with them in the castle? Is that how he knows this stuff in great detail? Or, is he just reading personal statements made by Brad & Janet, like he did in the movie (By the way, I know the Show came before the Picture Show, but what about the chicken and the egg)? Also, where did his boots & pants come from? Did they grow with him? If so, wouldn't they be morphed into a part of his body, like the Jeff Goldblum version of The Fly? I'm not hating, or anything. In fact, I go to both the Show AND the Picture Show as often as I CAN. I've got everything ELSE figured out, I'm just trying to figure THOSE things out, y'know?
there is a theory that everything that happens in this story is imagined by the narrator, that every character in the show is one part of the narrator, one emotion, one wish ect. so if its like that it just could be that he imagines rocky just like that with no deeper logic in it. just a theory.
So did the person playing rocky horror go into the machine during the special effects? Because I reckon it would be hard for him to do those shadow movements.
I LOVE EVERYTHING ROCKY w exception of the terrible remake few years ago. But I have to ask one thing... WHAT IN THE HOLY FUCK WAS THIS. There were lines wrong n the ones that were right were extremely rushed. I feel it's a sin to butcher a masterpiece I guess. Hope they atv least had fun putting it on.
Of all the countless live productions I've come across, this remains the most fantastic "creation scene" effect of them all.
That has to be the COOLEST Rocky birth effect I have ever seen! Anyone have any ideas on how that was accomplished?
Vectorshapes, Animation and a projector I think?
Certainly a breakthrough in biochemical research indeed!
This show has some nice effects in addition to a stunnng cast

Dang xD
are you trying to find sense in rocky horror? seriously?
If you're wondering how he sees these things and other science facts, just repeat to yourself, "It's just a show. I should really just relax."

Let's Do The Time Warp Again,
So did the person playing rocky horror go into the machine during the special effects? Because I reckon it would be hard for him to do those shadow movements.
@zpdirector combined front projection onto the curtain, with "Rocky" timing his curtain pull
Rocky looks like the cartoon version of Aladdin
Anthony Rojas lol ya😂 or the rocky version of him
Is there a full version of this show with this cast somewhere?
ladyharmonia i hope so
@necromanticvampire What does Frank say before Brad says "Its an anagram Janet."?
