Does it have a minimum focusing distance? Thinking to use it with my macro lens
Macro lens may not work good. Because at ultra-close range, LiDAR and the lens will produce a huge visual difference, unless the object being photographed is a plane.

I bought one, this version, I hope you can upload a video for setup without jumping steps, I am using an anamorphic lens with a close focus of 80cm, and your owner’s manual is asking for 40cm for first step focus, maybe it is not for me, please, upload a video to how to set up with a lens of 80cm close focus
No steps were skipped, maybe we didn't describe them in detail enough.
You just need to remember that during the setup process, the first point is at the closest focus distance of the lens, the second point is at the closest focus distance +0.6 meters, and the third point is at the closest focus distance +0.6+1.5 meters, and that's it. .

Does the front / rear focus lock work with the normal version??
Yes!Just setting the motor speed to slowest, and then turn the small control wheel to the nearest focus position.

NOT the mini.... what are the basic instructuons to achive the rear follow focus mode ( the one not focusing on the closest object) there were no instructions or paper that tells me how... and its one of the reasons i bought the motor smart type.. please help..

To set for front focus autofocus do you jusy set the dial all the way to closest focus? In the video it says to set for rear focus you set the dial to infinity focus but then no direction for how to set Front focus. 😅
Turn the wheel to the minimum focus position.
