Hey guys I was thinking what about setting up a throttle curve. Ive had this place before I just bought another one. Snowing here so can't fly yet. But to get rid of that torgue roll setup a throttle curve about 38-45% throttle. Then when its in the air flip your switch and you have 0-100% throttle. what do you guys think.
That happens with every single engine prop driven aircraft. Torque, spiraling slipstream, and P-factor all play into account of left turning tendencies. Especially in a tail dragger. All SAFE will do is hinder you on getting full control surface deflection. Use plenty of right rudder to keep the plane tracking straight on centerline for takeoff. Gently apply back pressure once the aircraft is traveling fast enough to want to fly. Stay in ground effect if you want for a few seconds to continue to build up airspeed. Then climb out
I have flown mine at least 20 times now I know the gear is a little week, but slamming it into the ground and bouncing it side ways will tear up any retract I suggest you practice you landings and your take offs. I know some one that also noticed the week gear and has since replaced his with the gear out of a Free wing F5 a little dremel work and he said it is 100% better. I hope Horizon comes up with better, Stronger retracts for this Awesome. Racer. For now mine is just fine as long as I make great landings. Good luck with your flying
My V1200 did the same but it’s a little bit hard to land and sketchy to take off be ready to fight that rudder to keep the plane steady don’t hit full throttle it torques give it half throttle
You really cant blame the gear there. You pan-caked it hard then cranked a turn. Any gear would have folded. My only issue was keeping the gear up at full speed. Over all I'm disappointed with this plane. 6 Cell 5000 50C the best we could do in dead calm was 119 Mph. Fly's solid, its just not all that.
That the main reason why I won't get the V1200 another reason is the 4 cell batteries are a lot more expensive than the 3 cell batteries I use in my V900.
I ordered the plane and opted to send it back, I could tell just from the pictures that gear is way too weak. Sticking with my fleet of V 900s for cost and speed I still think they are the better buy.
I'm going back to the V900. Besides some occasional launch issues, It was pretty trouble free and seemed almost as fast as the V1200. I wish I could stuff the motor and esc from the 1200 into a 900. But there is NO room for any size 6s battery in the 900.
How many v900s do you own? The hand launching creates a lot of anxiety for me. I was thinking about the v1200 but the gear seems pretty weak. I have a V900. The fuselage is getting weaker at the point where I broke it on the maiden flight several years ago. It still flies but I have to keep adding glue… Any suggestions?
That eventual takeoff was a really bad decision ... turn SAFE off and taxi back to the other end of the runway and try again. Patience and a deft touch on the rudder.
Switching to AS3X is a better idea on take-off. SAFE doesn't control rudder, AS3X does and really well. Once in the air switch back to SAFE if you want to.
I just got one. Totally disappointed. The stickers are coming off, the ESC was dislodged. And do the retracts make a terrible hum when retracted for a few seconds?????? I think this is a piece of shit if you ask me...... yet to be flown but waiting for the retracts to fail... So now I have seen this I will be videoing everything before my first flight. And going to photo this as well....
Que aprenda a despegar y aterrizar primero, no es problema de los componentes que trae. Por muy buenos o malos ,si entra siempre así de caliente va a pasar los mismo.
This aircraft sucks! Complete waste of money! I went thru 5 of these in less than 4 months. The stickers are peeling off all of them. The retracts fall right out of the wing. Yes it feels glued in till they wiggle out on second takeoff or landing. Nuts aren't all tight. Reverse thrust will ruin the motor.

It pulled to the left hard on take off.My V900 does the very same thing. For some reason SAFE is required for take off on both of these planes.

Landing gear seems to be a weak link with the V1200 , other than that it's a awesome super fast plane !

@@insurancemann1 i agree 100% the v900 is fast enough for me and $199 is alot better than $350+.

Hahah. Well yeah. when you slam the thing into the ground like that - things are going to break with the gear.

@@bcflyer99 SAFE, AS3X....... BAH, HUMBUG :-)
i had same problem and the main gear not available until March :-(
Think I will stay with my v900
Not a bad idea
interesting video. that was a hard landing, a big shame
Out standing shipmate.
U landed way to hard that’s what broke it

Landed fine you slammed it into runway
Yeah the landing gear on this thing sucks. Everything else is fine
Landing gear is fine. Got to learn to land. Edit in comments
I wasn't gonna get this plane because a lot of people said it was weak I have 15 flights on mine and it's not even slightly bent
