I actually am happy with it in general, but the step counter seems so inaccurate to me. I've read it a couple times now, that other people have noticed the inaccuracy as well. On a 20h drive while sitting in the backseat, the watch added +200 steps to the count, eventhough I was sitting the entire time. When ironing the watch also counted some additional none existing steps.

Great review Lim, but.... If you work night shifts this will not record daytime sleep (and it thought I was dead because the HR flatlined whilst I slept too!). I contacted Amazfit and they said they are looking into a fix of some description but were unable to advise when. I’m returning mine as I wasn’t aware of this when I bought it and it certainly isn’t on the sales pitch or any in reviews I’ve seen. The watch is good value and an excellent option with a fantastic screen but sadly doesn’t quite tick all my boxes...

Not worth it. My Amazfit bts hanged while updating latest firmware. From app you can't do factory reset while from watch you can't enter any menu. It says firmware update failed try again. And there's no US technical support line. I would not recommend anyone to buy it.

Now, I have a Huawei phone, Hauwei laptop, and Xaomi Amazfit bip watch. I've been very pleased with the products.I like Apple, but now you pay for a name rather than innovation. There's just better bang-for-your-buck options out there.

How close does the watch have to be to your phone to receive notifications ( will it work from 20 to 30 feet away in an open room)? 2.) Its a tracker. Show the gps capability, reliability & testing. How long does the gps need to lock on initially? Is the gps spotty? Is it accurate? After 3 months use and u still never commented after the firmware updates(if any) had made the gps better or more terrible.
John: Could you really determine you love it on the same day you got it? Now that you've had it for 4 months, do you still love it or have you come across issues that has dampened your enthusiasm for it?
Perhaps the heart tracking issue as you describe it is actually the mechanism that detects whether you are wearing it or not. I think the Samsung Galaxy watch does the same

I am worried to turn on the AOD because I don't think they shift the pixels to show time. Which will result in the burn-in issue, especially since it's an AMOLED. May be you can check if it shifts pixels or not after the update? Just received the update btw :D

It depends. Both are great. Features and smoothness wise, the Honor offers more. However if you want a simple basic smartwatch, the GTS is great. You decide!

I'm glad you brought this up. I have this watch (which I'm still getting used to) and a Fitbit Charge 3. They both state they can be used for swimming. BUT...I've read that water got into the works and made them useless (however, there were maybe 2-3 reviews on each),. I'm wondering if I should take the chance and exercise in the pool while wearing either one?

Hi Lim! Regarding the footsteps tracking, did you notice that when you dance and you stay without walking, just moving your arms up and down,it tracks as you have walked? I noticed it this days and sent a feedback for them!
I think the way notifications are shown simply sucks. Sometimes one whatsapp message apears 3 times and doesn't even show half the text. Unacceptable...
I bought the samsung galaxy watch 2 and the amazfit at the same time. Sorry to say, my preference is still with the galaxy watch. The tracker seems alot better with galaxy watch and its more compatible with alot of apps compared to the amazfit.
i have purchased GTS a week back. all is good except the fact that it is counting steps while i am asleep. it counts around 80 to 110 steps. this is very dis-appointing. hope the company fixes this on priority in the next software update. Current firmware version is 0.0.9.05 (INDIA). i am not sure how you can say that the bugs are fixed. ??? (btw. i also have purchased BIP S, same thing is applicable there also, counting steps while asleep)
@@LimReviews Thanks for the response. When I received the GTS, the GPS was working great. Just received a recent update just a week later (0.0.8.37), and now the GPS will not lock at all. Contacted the support, no response. Luckily I still had time to return the device. Thanks again.
@@Eli-mp8li gonna be honest. The GPS on the GTS is not very reliable. I had better luck in china but when I'm in Malaysia it doesn't work very well. The TREX which I'm using works FAR better. A follow up video will come.

I have the amazefit bip, good for the price,but heartrate isn't accurate and gives higher kms linked to steps, 9kms,when i have only done 6kms,seems ok if using gps,i know the heartrate monitor is out because i use a heartrate chest strap when cycling, 15% varient.
😔Has someone my issue which workout mode stops when recieving a notification sometimes i couldn't unserstand even whatever i did when it happens excatly??? It is so annoying after a lot of kilometres i went with the bicycle.

Yeah it can. You have to understand that both the watch and airpods are connected to the phone. So the watch shows you the call, you can only reject or silent it nor answering it, you have to answer from phone... which is quite good
Do you know if you can use this with google maps navigation? For example, could you use your phone to start your navigation and then have your watch show your next turn or exit to take. I think it would be safer to have directions on your watch than looking down at your phone...

You can't answer calls on this but you can on the gts 2. You are also able to control music on this.

It does not display sleep duration on the watch. You'd have open the app to view sleep duration.

I have the amazefit bip, good for the price,but heartrate isn't accurate and gives higher kms linked to steps, 9kms,when i have only done 6kms,seems ok if using gps,i know the heartrate monitor is out because i use a heartrate chest strap when cycling, 15% varient.
I‘d never get one of those apple watch clones. That‘s just super weird to wear. I‘m going to keep my series 6 until it‘s obsolete in a couple of years

Its impossible to TURN OFF Bluetooth on the Watch.. that is dissapointing.. watch sends Bluetooth signal 24/7.

How good is the accuracy of sensors?
😔Has someone my issue which workout mode stops when recieving a notification sometimes i couldn't unserstand even whatever i did when it happens excatly??? It is so annoying after a lot of kilometres i went with the bicycle.
Does it have problems with tracking? Bad GPS? A false steps counting while sleeping?

Yeah it can. You have to understand that both the watch and airpods are connected to the phone. So the watch shows you the call, you can only reject or silent it nor answering it, you have to answer from phone... which is quite good
Do you know if you can use this with google maps navigation? For example, could you use your phone to start your navigation and then have your watch show your next turn or exit to take. I think it would be safer to have directions on your watch than looking down at your phone...

Based on your reviews Lim, I am ready to buy this smartwatch. I have been using the bip for about a year now and really love it, it seems the GTS is a better version of the things that make it so good.

Always on display has got 2 faces : pointer dial (clock) and analogue dial(numerical)

Hey man, do you mind sharing how big is your wrist? Like in centimeters or something - I have kind of a small wrist and i'm trying to figure out if the watch will be enormous or not on my wrist.

IF Phone's Bluetooth is connected with wireless earphones then the fitness tracker like walking / swimming will work accurately right instead of connecting GST , right?

@@Fmiso8581 The Amazfit app is in English so you don't have to worry about it. In fact I prefer the Amazfit app over the Apple Health app.
