Back in the summer of 1985, I was hanging around with some friends from school, and we wound up at the Peppermint Lounge, where Dumptruck and True West were sharing the bill. During Dumptruck's set, my friend, a metalhead, said, "You mean these guys have a contract?" He and the rest of our group decided to walk out. And for the rest of my life I have regretted it. It's unfortunate we live in a world where some people cannot conceive that rock 'n' roll can be played without permed hair and spandex pants. Thanks for posting this.

Great band and one of their best tunes. I saw them twice at the infamous Scorgies in Rochester NY. Great shows, happy times!

I saw them open for R.E.M in 1985. Great band who never got the acclaim they deserved. R.E.M had lots of great acts open- True West, The Three O'Clock, Guadalcanal Diary, NRBQ, Robyn Hitchcock, Luscious Jackson, etc, etc. back in the 80's

Yup. I was just bragging on one of their other vids on here that I saw them open for R.E.M. on 7/29/85 in Phoenix at age 12. SUPER SWEET. Yup, I saw Guadalcanal open for R.E.M. too on 9/23/86 at Mesa Amphitheatre. GLORIOUS WONDER. Hitchcock in '89, yup, but Luscious Jackson wasn't until '85, and just didn't compare to those prior ones...ah, the sweet, sweet 80's....I long for those days. Pass me a waterpipe hit-- of fine tobacco, of course.

WHOOPS, I meant Luscious wasn't until '95, not '85. 1995... The Monster Tour.
