Aljo was a definition of a champion, defended the belt 4 times in a span of 17 months, twice every 6 months and gave him a 3 month turn around for the Suga fight. it was bound to catch up to him. UFC got what they wanted now Sean has to face nothing but killers.
I regret anything negative I ever said about ALJO. He's truly a class act, fought for what he's got, is a champion in ALL respects. He's far from done. Seeing how he handles losing has changed me from critic to supporter. Be proud of yourself brother!
This was a masterclass by Aljo. He plays the heel well and someone has to do it in prize fighting. Most can relate about the household part! Good on Aljo!
I don’t know why that was so hard for people to see that before this fight? He was trying to sell PPVs and hype his fights. You could tell he always had respect for his opponents and was just trying to make a name for himself. Aljo has done so much great things in his career but I didn't knew I'll become a Aljo fan after a loss. I have not seen many people handling a defeat so nicely. Kudos to him, absolute class act.
Never been a bigger Aljo fan! A great champion, being a man is hard work and great men put themselves in the front of others risking everything they work for. Your family is proud Thank you for sharing.
The best interview from Aljo I've ever heard (my opinion). It seems that humility is bringing out his true character and that appears to be a very likable and respectable man.
He’s always been like this, always been humble. After he got all the hate post first Yan fight, he decided to run with the heel act to help build his name and make people want to buy his PPVs.
Aljo is an amazing dude, a solid friend, and super humble. The hate that he received was excessive, to say the least. The fact that the crowd was chanting, "F*** Aljo" is disgusting. We don't deserve this man.

Ehh his run wasnt really all special. He just layed on yan in the rematch only 40 strikes after 5 rounds. Tj blew his shoulder out before that fight even happened and henry is old and was coming off a 3 year lay off. The most memorable moment in his title run was him getting kneed in the head to get the belt 😂

You are a damn pimp and will probably come back to win your belt back. Massive talent, well spoken and willing to show your true humble demeanor. I can’t wait to see you again. Cheers bro.
So disappointed in the loss, but so glad I got to watch this. Never really heard this kid speak wow this guy has really got it together understands completely and appreciates everything that his hard work has resulted in good on him may the Lord bless and prosper his efforts. To regain his title
What an upstanding example of a true fighter in every sense of the word. Not gonna lie, I hated him at first when he first got the belt. But seeing how he’s carried himself and how his character shines through no matter the circumstance, I’ll always be a fan of him from here on out. Hope he comes back and earns his belt back in the rematch.
This loss and more importantly the post fight interviews, weirdly are the best thing that could have happened to Aljo. I think this is the most I have ever liked Aljo and will actually root for him in his comeback. Something that he has lacked his whole reign was the backing of the people.

Aljo was a definition of a champion, defended the belt 4 times in a span of 17 months, twice every 6 months and gave him a 3 month turn around for the Suga fight. it was bound to catch up to him. UFC got what they wanted now Sean has to face nothing but killers.

💯 I fucks with aljo now more then I ever have. He about to get more money and fans from this loss then he has from any victory. He a g
Even with Colby, everyone for the most part says he’s a really nice and great dude when he’s not in front of a camera. Disagree politically with his whole MAGA schtick, but he seems like a good guy.
its not that he plays the heel , people just dont like him lol
@@charlesmartinez100 What's there not to like? Only thing that I can think of is that for most casuals, he might not have the most fan friendly fighting style since it is heavily relies on grappling.
That's the point. He knows that he is not liked, for whatever reason people choose a villain and a hero in sports, and he ran with it. Its how you capitalized on people's interest to watch you in prize fighting.@@charlesmartinez100
Never in my life would think I’d be a fan of Aljo. Credit to him for being a perfect heel these last couple years, but damn got Cruz vibes hearing this post fight presser. Hats off for the honesty & down to earth look into his mindset. Greatest sport on earth bc of guys like this 🫡
Aljo earned my respect over his past couple of fights. He's humble when he loses, gave massive props to Sean.
People who still hate on him are brain dead.
Lol dude the TJ Dillashaw fight was a waste of money, the only reason I wasn’t that mad was the sugar fight

I hope all the people that hate on him can see his emotional moment in this interview.

If you’ve watched his interviews, you’d have already liked him 😂

Mad respect for this man 🙏👊

How can you not like this man after this interview? He was super cerebral in analyzing his fight with Suga. Give him his immediate rematch.
He puts full blame on trying to make the fight "entertaining" and by that he means not holding onto Sean's back for dear life
Nah, respect but no immediate rematch. Let the division move.

This is by far the most likeable I've ever seen Aljo. He's being genuine and he's a good dude. Wish he'd be like this more often.
It was hard for him to be like this when he won title in the manner he did (acting like he was concussed). People hate him for that, for poor title defenses and being fake

Aljo, I wasn’t sure what to think of you til today. This post fight press conference was perfect. You have risen to a much higher level for me personally. I am a new and huge fan.

One of the better post fight press conferences I’ve seen in a long time.
He forgot he was in Boston, but it was for sure an early stoppage. 👀
This loss and more importantly the post fight interviews, weirdly are the best thing that could have happened to Aljo. I think this is the most I have ever liked Aljo and will actually root for him in his comeback. Something that he has lacked his whole reign was the backing of the people.
I fully agree 👍
I'm sorry but shit like this is why I hate mma fans. They wait till a guy loses to give them respect. Aljo was always overhated. People wanna hold onto him for the DQ loss. Be mad at Yan, plus Aljo came back, beat him and Cejudo. He only turned "hell" cause people give him shit just like Belal. And Belal didnt even do shit. Haters become supporters when they see you down. Truly disgusting

in a weird way I think Aljo gained more fans tonight by losing to Sean than he would've by beating him. It wasn't a bad loss, he had a great post fight interview and press conference where we actually got to see the real him. I think if he pulls back on the villain role and is just more of himself he'll have a ton of fan support regardless of how his future fights end up going
