GO LEGION!! However, the club desperately needs a home away from Protective Stadium. The team itself has had depth for years, however even historically weaker like clubs like Hartford Athletic and Loudon have much stronger atmospheres even with similar attendance because of their smaller soccer specific venues. Even though attendance numbers are similar, Birmingham's 47,000-seater makes absolutely no sense, as MLS clubs strive for that let alone USL which thrives on its solid minutes in smaller markets. It makes the atmosphere feel weak to players and fans and has an impact. I don't know if it's the management or existing contracts that are missing the point, but even a good high school or college soccer field would be more beneficial for the near future. Rhode Island FC who started this year as a club and are owned by the same person who owns Ipswitch in the English Championship is investing in a gorgeous soccer specific stadium and guess what... its 10000 seats. And I bet it will be fantastic and propel the club.
Absolutely bless those two away fans. Champs of our hearts.
