Quite agree black too near the face is very ageing such as a polo neck. Also not that many people suit beige a colour that I have never looked good in.
Here’s a good one. My principal ( I was a teacher) once told me he liked my pants suit. It was the same pattern as his upholstery. I never wore it again and it had been a favorite. I’d rather be a curtain than a couch! LOL!
Being 75, I'm perfectly happy to look 65. Often told I look 'put together'; I credit having lived much of my life in Montréal. Here in beautiful 'British Columbia', few women of any age seem ever to look in a full-length mirror.
Very rarely do I see anyone in my town dressing very trendy but when I do I offer a compliment. I see a lot of skinny jeans and leggings still but recently a couple of wide leg jeans on someone besides just myself, I'm your age. I did see a couple of young ladies in their twenties dressed in flowy skirts, definitely boho style, cute boots, they looked fabulous! Thank you for a wonderful video. 😊
Agree about the crew necks! I still wear them but prefer v-necks and mock turtle necks. As a cool summer, I also love wearing dusky shades of purple and blue.
I appreciate your videos. I actually wear prints and pull it off quite nicely….but I laugh when I think that I was a big fan of wallpaper in the 80s….because that’s what I think of. I do love them though. I think a smile is the best thing to wear to look lovely. I am naturally drawn to people of any age who smile and laugh. 😁 I agree about accessories being important to looking put together.
Why are waterproof coats virtually always casual? Why can't they make good quality waterproof trench coats ( not showerproof) ? I've come across a few but they have been poor quality or very expensive. It's hard to be smart and dry, especially if it's windy.
Hi Anne-Marie, I'm under 5' and dislike drop-shoulder anything. Why are so many clothes made like this? What is the appeal? Oh! Maybe it works for broad shoulders?
I have a nasty scar and I'm still having to do exercises to get flexibility back but thank you for noticing and asking. I'm impressed at how well our NHS did on this. Very efficient
An advantage to living in a 55+ Community, no trends! 😂 Let’s get into the closet again and do away with all the black clothes, the old lady florals, old gym shoes and shoes that are ugly, and the wrong colors for our new mature skin tone. 😅 Camel and certain beige shades are also skin killers! 😢
Small floral prints are the frumpiest thing ever that literally scream "granny" and only young women can pull them off in a sort of "ironic" way. Large florals, however, that are more abstract are always chic and modern. Beige can look extremely chic when you're older as long as the fabrics are high quality and the tailoring is excellent. As we get older we should prioritize quality over quantity. Especially regarding accessories such as handbags & (fashion) jewelry. I'm 58 btw.
So basically you saw the title of the video, you clicked on it, you watched it and then scrolled down just so you could make a negative comment? Is that the kind of person you are? You are the one we should feel sorry for.
What is that comment supposed to mean? Old compared to who or what? A 10 year old thinks someone 20 is old. Teens think their parents are "ancient". What is "old", exactly? And what is your point? Making a disparaging comment for no reason other than to be hurtful to someone who is lovely and just looking to help others? Congratulations - you did just that. WELL DONE!!! It makes me happy to know that I am old enough to never sink to that level and live my life with the grace to feel badly for you and the obvious insecurity evidenced by your post.
Let’s not forget about the shade or undertone of a color. Beige can have a grey undertone compared to a yellow undertone: big difference against the skin. 💕

Love that! Thanks for telling us 😅😅

Your hair looks beautiful!
Thank you.

Cherry top you are wearing from Boden is lovely.
Thank you

Beige actually really seems to suit me! Maybe I’m boring 😳.

I think a modern haircut can do wonders

So true
You look STUNNING in beige.
Oh boy. You are making me excited for the future! Lol
Haha, hi Carolyn 👋
Finally someone who doesn’t like beige 🎉🎉🎉
Looks awful on me and always has. I love browns, including rust.

Sadly some brands assume we want to wear a shapeless tent after a certain age.
arm looks good. hope it is all healed

T-bar shoes on small feet are not flattering!
Good thought. My feet are small so thank you.
Very silly and unkind
Disagree. Styles change. Style is real. It’s also subjective. Not worth getting hurt over. Just shrug and say you like what you like.
I actually thought you were old sorry
rude- you must be young and foolish

With any luck, you too will be able to live to be "old". By the way, my lovely mother always looked stylish even in her late 80's.
