Open book was between Rose's scabbard and The message, Joy ride is the season 1 finale, both are season 1 episodes, you can find the correct episode list on wikipedia.
@@misstressfoxtail05 The season 1 box and the series box have Joy ride as the last episode of season 1, unless you are saying the people who put season 1 and the series box on dvd did not know what they were doing, and i hope this is the end of this comment thread.
Or, you know, you could take the word of Ian Jones-Quartey, the supervising director and Rebecca Sugar's partner. He posted the intended Season One episode order on his blog back in 2015, in response to a fan's question, with the comment: "I dug thru our old stuff and doublechecked everything. Here’s the order as we intended it . . . .Obviously things had to change to make sure the finale aired with all of the more plot-relevant episodes in order. If they ever make a BluRay, this is the order we’ll ask for." I can't post links here, but you can find it yourself via Google if you want. The consensus at Wikipedia is clearly that this is most authoritative source, which is why it is the order they present as the intended one. (BTW, Cartoon Network is absolutely *notorious* for their shoddy work compiling DVDs of their shows. It's something that comes up over and over again whenever they release one. They regularly mix up episodes, leave out episodes, etc. People complain about this constantly. It's never a good idea to assume that their DVD sets are compiled with any attention or care or authorial intent.)
the biggest problem with watching steven universe now after it finished a while ago is that there's 3 different versions of how the episodes are ordered: the way it actual aired, the way that streaming services (incorrectly) order them, and how the creator of the show (rebecca sugar) wished she could have had it air. so i really cant fault you guys at all if you watched some episodes out of order.
The good news is that I think this is the only weird out-of-order streaming service segment of the show, I'm pretty sure the rest is in order, but just kinda... split up into "seasons" wrong.
A lot of viewers figured out Garnet was a fusion, nobody managed to guess why she was though. Like the theories were all super dark like she couldn't unfuse or if she unfused one of them would die or Garnet had overwhelmed her component personalities and took over like Sugilite tried to. Nobody guessed because lesbians.
S1E01 - Gem Glow S2E01 - Full Disclosure S3E01 - Watermelon Island S4E01 - The Kindergarden Kid Watching this episodes when they were aired was a pain, It was Full of long hiatus and we got like 3 or 5 episodes every 4 months or so.
The edits every time you mention the word Finale. lol. Joyride had one of my favorite jokes that I got because I'm old.... "I just wanted to see you laughing in the pizza rain." Also the promo art for the episode was a parody of Purple Rain's poster with Buck Dewey on a bike. It was perfect. And yes, the towny teens resembling the gems is on purpose. The originally airing of the finale and the mix up was worse than you two did it. They aired Joyride before the Return and Jailbreak and spoiled Peridot's escape.
Haha holy shit I forgot they did that! Gotta love when the network people screw up stuff like that for no reason, really makes you wish the people who actually make the show had more power. (Related: support the SAG-AFTRA / WGA strike btw)
While jailbreak is technically the finale, full disclosure almost seems like an even better finale thematically even though it's a lot less climactic because it really puts into perspective the shift in tone that will occur from that moment onward in the series
I definitely see that argument. Though I feel it also makes sense as the start of season 2 because it sets the tone for the show going forward, since season 2 and on are going to be a bit more serious.
5:58 actually with lucid dreaming you can have that much control, you just need to practice a bunch. I went from only being able to walk around in my dream to being able to turn into a dragon and basically run my own dnd campaign in my dreams and yeah, it feels pretty awesome haha

I can answer the question. Yes there was a lot of people theorizing Garnet was a fusion. My favourite evidence is when the three fuse for dinner with Connie’s mom. If you watch them unfuse you see Ruby and Sapphire holding hands before reforming
There's an old panel of Steven universe that was held before the garnet reveal and someone actually asked if garnet was a fusion and like it was spoiler so they didn't say anything but it was pretty funny to see later on 😂
you know what - finale proper or not you had fun and this is a memorable reaction XD At least the onsies got to come out for some episodes even if it wasn't Jailbreak. If I remember the rest of the finales are properly actually at the ends of the seasons so you can enjoy reacting the right way but this was still fun!

The humans looking like the Crystal Gems was intentional, I'm pretty sure. They're the human counters to the Gems that Steven sees every day, reminding him (and us, the viewer) that he is also Half Human

Joy ride is a great episode! Steven is just able to be a kid which that should be his only responsibility.

I’m surprised they didn’t know the episodes were out of order, I feel like that’s a common thing for fans to tell people when they react to this show
Right? But I personally figured someone else must have already told them since they seem so on top of this whole cartoon thing,,
It came up in the comments a bunch, but I think they record these in batches
The amount of times you joke about it being a finale 😂
From now on I imagine you won't blindly trust what HBO Max says...right?
11:40 there right they do kinda look like the gems
The fact that they didn't notice the fake Connie until is was reveal was hilarious.
I hope yall are going to Wiki for the order next time lol.
I don't understand why people ever assume streaming services have the episodes right, they're always wrong with every cartoon.
Having a good laugh at yourself is the best response.
Does this mean we get round 2 of finale onesies? XD
😂 The Audacity calling this the finale lol
I love your finale onesies.
Love you damn guys. I look forward to your videos every time.

The uncle grandpa episodes is not Keanan
Omg love you both💕
You guys don't watch "Story for Steven" too!!!!!
This was a great reaction, #EarthForever
The answer is “no, it’s the second episode of the second season because Max sucks.”
Great reaction.
Pearl is 100% the best part of the next episode
The season finale was Jail break! you may follow the order on wikipedia so you won’t get confused
Excuse me? Season ONE finale? uhhh
Open Book is EP 46, the season ends at 52 with Jailbreak
You are so lost
and the second episode is season 2 btw
Watch like 1 minute into the video, they know now lol
