Pizza delivery guy here... former Maccas worker and postman. Great jobs, meet great ppl and being a postman is amazing exercise. Delivering Uber as well.... we don't make the food BTW. I hardly ever deal with idiots but in NZ ppl are more chilled... mite be different in America.
Don't feel sorry for him because it is going to happen again sometime. That is the nature of the job he signed up for however, It IS the fault of those who prepared the pizza. Miscommunication. Yes the pizza dude tried his best. Cudos to him for handling the situation well. If I were him though, I would've called the manager on the spot IN FRONT OF the customer to tell the dumb ass who prepared the pizza to get the order right...and make it right for the customer. Delivery person should NOT get his ass chewed out by an angry dissatisfied customer when "it was the preparer's fault." It is NOT the customer's fault either. Kid has a right to be upset...IF it was NOT what he ordered. Nobody should have to pay for something they did not order. Customer should have rejected pizza on the spot and NOT have touched a slice of it...much less given any of the incorrect merchandise to his buddies. BIG MISTAKE! Now customer has to pay for portion of pizza he gave to his buddies. Kid's mommy in this case.
@Lol Stfu It is NOT "acting" when it happens IN REAL LIFE every.. single.. day.. in America. These scenarios happen daily because of the rapidity of "fast food". Someone does NOT get the order correct which results in customer frustration. It has happened to me. My friends have also complained of a botched order of fast food. I'll bet it has happened to you too. AI robots will replace delivery people and fast food workers in the future. Just watch. It's coming. It isn't far off.
At one point we had to live in our vehicle and sold stuff at the flea market in order to survive, so we called pizza hut to find out over an hour later they wouldn't deliver it, however when we called domino's a guy came out so we ended giving him the $17 dollar tip, it was one of our better days, and his, we appreciated him so much for doing so, and even though we have had our home for almost 6 years now we struggle from time to time but we still try to help others when we can

At one point we had to live in our vehicle and sold stuff at the flea market in order to survive, so we called pizza hut to find out over an hour later they wouldn't deliver it, however when we called domino's a guy came out so we ended giving him the $17 dollar tip, it was one of our better days, and his, we appreciated him so much for doing so, and even though we have had our home for almost 6 years now we struggle from time to time but we still try to help others when we can
