This settled my main fear with the new Ghired, he can go infinite too easily for me to play him in my usual group's meta. But damn did he look fun.
But damn Corbin. I'm usually not a fan of decks that feel like they have a "gimmick" but this was just way too interesting and I hope you guys put out a rematch.
Disappointed there's no decklists, but that Patreon is looking mighty fine.

I’m fairly new to the channel, But Matt and Corbyn seem to have a bigger share of the wins. Even when they seem docile they can just POP out of nowhere and take the dub. Corbyn has his storm and Matt just has crazy deck builds.
I like Kellan so much that i iwsh it appears in all videos. Anyway guys, nice vids! Continue the great work

I wonder why Jason took the OPP agent that wasn't really effecting him instead of taking ghired or Magda which was clearly Matt's whole engine.
Matt had a Sylvan Safekeeper, so no go on him unfortunately. :)
Ok I just have to add another line I saw to end the game that didn't required Magda, just because I saw it and I have to share.
With the token of coercive recruiter you can use any non token creature to make another copy of the recruiter. The phrasing on the recruiter allows you to target creatures you already control to untap them.
You target any non token creature. It untaps creating another non haste coercive recruiter. When you have enough to kill the table the last one enter triggers itself and all the others. Each one targets themselves and then you swing for lethal.
Who could have thought that a zealot conscript kind of effect is broken in a token deck :p

Kinda surprised Corbyn or Matt didn't opt for Lilah. Recently built her and she beelined into a storm/combo deck very quickly. xD
Why Lilah over Stella Lee for stom/combo spellslinger? Seems to me that most of the izzet spells are pretty high cost for their effect, pushing her more toward value?

Yes, I would say our decks are typically around there.

Ah yes, umori, the seven mana card that makes you build your deck badly and gives you a single mana discount to your cards that gets removed with a single boardwipe. To everyone out there, please stop playing umori in your companion zone. It just makes your deck worse. Maybe when it was 4 mana it was maybe worth it. At 7? No. You should be getting morophon discounts at 7 mana. I promise you its just not worth playing.
It makes them more fun it makes it more casual I have umori as my companion with the prismatic bridge all creatures and the creatures are sliver mutate it’s a lot of fun
LMAO!! My man, I didn't build this because I thought it was good. I built it because I thought it was funny. Now you're going to make me want to make it playable... Just because you don't think it's good (and yep, it's not) doesn't mean you sure snatch people's fun 😂
@@stormincorbyn I never said it wasn't fun or funny. The point of the comment is to inform the people who do it solely because they think it is good to play umori that it isn't. And yes, if the answer for why you are playing it "it's fun/funny", there is no problem with that. I actually love playing bad decks. They are way more fun than good decks. But that doesn't make it not bad. And even more so, I said it makes your deck "worse", not bad. Which are two different thing. My point is more if two people build the same deck, one with umori and one without, the one without has better removal and card draw and wraths and ramp. That's just, facts. It doesn't make it bad, it makes it worse.
@@matthugenberg8869 That's fair. I hope you understand that how you worded your post comes off extremely aggressive though. "To everyone out there, you need to stop running umori as a companion". There wasn't any of the caveats that you talked about in your response to my response 😅. I'm glad you clarified!
Umori could be played as companion without a huge deckbuilding cost if the type is artifacts :D
Btw only Reaper King and Master Transcendant let you do that
