For a second when you said “solo practitioners” my brain heard “solar practitioners” which is also very appropriate here lol I think I’m in the flow ☀️
Lovely video! I've been sticking to daily Resh for a month and some change, and it's been a wonderful addition to my daily practice. I always use the script as I do it, as I have some issues with memory, but I felt very accomplished as I instinctively followed along with the adoration without needing to read it... now if the invocations will just stick lol
Excellent video start to finish. Great demonstration, anyone new to this practice or Thelema will have any loose ends from other research resolved with this and proceed with progress. Thank you for being a great example of a Thelemite, reflecting the true good in Thelema.
I love the ritual, I only have practice as a Wiccan and a ADF druid I had four days off and focused on Thelema for those days and I think I’m falling in love with it. Thanks for this ritual going to try the ritual in the morning.
Thank you for sharing. I hope this ritual brings some energy and light into your day. I've done ADF druid rituals in the past and really enjoyed them. I wish you the best of luck wherever your journey may take you!
As a zero experience magik practisioner I love the way you showcased this ritual. It demistifies the practise a bit also makes it more clear. Really good and helpfull thank you!
Wonderful video thank you for making it! For Dawn and noon for the adoration, I tend to make the sign of Typhon and then for sunset and midnight I do Osiris risen.
Wonderful! I’m finally ready for this. The first time I watched I didn’t know enough to appreciate it. Currently I still know nothing, but I’m starting to learn this (thank you especially for your book recommendations- they have put me on the right path.) 93
Soror what'z up ? Love your videos and will love this one after 3PM Here in the EST when get off work for sure....Been a Thelemite for more than 15 years myself now....we rock & roll... May Thelemik Blessings of healing, protection, wisdom, health, joy, understanding, pleasure, knowledge, strength, love & will be bestowed upon thee Soror Maevius Lynn *( Am assuming your surname or Thelemik Holy Magik Name )*
Thank you so, so much for taking the time to make this clear and concise video. Exactly what I was looking for. One question, any tips for how best to memorise the invocation and adoration?
I'm so glad that you found the presentation helpful. I think the best way to memorize ritual depends on your learning style. As a visual learner, I find it very helpful to write things out several times in addition to frequently practicing it.
If the aim is to hit all 4 stations of the sun, we are basically getting 4-5 hours of sleep (especially during the summer). Is it okay to do the midnight adoration sometime around 10 pm before bed? Or to get the most value, do you recommend performing the ritual exactly at Sunrise, Noon, Sunset, and Midnight?
So the sign of silence. In the golden dawn they use the left hand in thelema they use the right hand. Any theories on why or what it's doing? I think it has to do with left brain right brain function, logic vs abstract.
Is it okay if i perform the Adorations of Ra at Noon and then perform tbe Adorations of Ahathoor right after, just cause i won't be able to wake up at 3 AM every time? Or should i just skip Ra if i already didn't make it?
Curious to know if these are done in the adoration of these Egyptian deities, or if they are being used as a psychological and mystical metaphor in this ritual?
@@MaeviusLynn May I ask if you, personally, treat it as a prayer to the actual gods in question, or if you see them more as a spiritual representative of something else?
@@gloriouspig3813 I've come a very long way on my journey through spirituality and mysticism and I have been contemplating this subject as well. It seems to be quite a delicate balance, which follows from the nature of symbolism itself, I think. The language of symbolism (if you conceive of it that way, funny thing if you think about it) defies exact definitions or conceptions (because it isn't -really- a language in the hard sense), allowing it to penetrate the purely decisive and delineating processes of the rational/egoic mind in order to create a channel toward the unconscious. Seeing all of these occult practices through the lens of what some might call pure psychology or symbolism seems to itself defy that neat categorization or 'inadequately describe the flavor'. Personally, what I've been discovering in myself is that in order to create that balance within, I should explore dissolving the hard lines of my rational assumptions. Perhaps there is not so much a difference between the symbolic and the literal (mirroring the oneness and yet duality of the spiritual and physical) even though there is. Perhaps these deities exist in a way that is not so easily conceptualized by our temporal/sensual/human faculties. Perhaps that is why they do not exist physically in the way we do, and why we do not experience them physically without some aspect of symbolic understanding in tandem with a literal one? Our plane of existence is an interesting one. I believe cultivating a sense of spiritual and physical flow may be heavily linked to that egoic human instinct of either/or. How does that bleed into (inform and also is informed by) the both/and? Hopefully you catch my drift ;) best of luck on your journey!
Yes I think that's a great thing to do if you have the time. David Shoemaker talks about that in Living Thelema and offers some suggestions about it in there.
Maybe I'm in a rut but coming from an atheist perspective, it's becoming increasingly difficult to adhere to Liber Resh after four months. At first, it felt energizing and now I find myself drifting. Is this normal? Do people skip the adoration altogether when there is less of a connection? Any thoughts appreciated.
O Goodness I was doing this incorrectly giving the sign of my grade first, thank you for seeing me aright. You can probably see how this is possible as it states in the liber "showing the sign of his grade" it makes it sound as of you do this first..
Saying that line twice is not a part of the ritual. If you want to follow the ritual as it was made, then the conventional wisdom is to use one or the other. If you want to modify the ritual and do your own thing, then that is fine, but know that you are doing something different than the original ritual.
There is a squirrel jumping on the branches behind you while you are doing Resh.. beautiful :)

I swear if you did an LBRP video in this same format it would be amazing. I was scanning through your content trying to find it 😢

This is so beautiful ❤

Should I get a compass? How do you tell which direction?
You can use compass or an app on your phone which tells you the directions.
@@MaeviusLynn So it doesn't matter if it's magnetic or geographical?
