It is always a pleasure to watch someone that actually cares what kind of job they do. Attention to detail is a beautiful thing to watch! Looking forward to your next video!
good looking work man.....i like the way you install and plan your welds so no harm to the integrity of the car..... i am a retired collision tech and later into restoration so you can see just why i appreciate good and proper work..... so keep up the good work my friend.... thanks for uploading these vids
This is some serious work going on there. I can imagine that you prefer to install complete parts to make it look original, but sometimes it gets to much, separating pans. I fully understand the reasons for those "shortcuts" ;-) You have my respect, sir.
Thanks for a great video, I'm doing a 68 coupe right now, needs frame rails, trunk floor, tail light panel, lot of work but I like the challenge. I have a 67 donar car I was thinking of cutting out the side air scoops to install in the 68,also need the roof as the 68 Was a vinyl top, have you replaced a roof, would love to see a video of that. you do great work, thank for taking time to do these videos.
+Lester Jewer I have not replaced a roof...yet. That can be a tricky job. I know there are roof skins available for the fastbacks. You nay want to search for a coupe panel.
Thanks for taking the time to post vids and explaining the process. This is a big help. I'm getting ready to tackle the same area on my 70 fastback and it's good to have this as a reference and has helped me plan how far I need to go into mine. You do great work and are really good at explaining in detail as you move along!
I have a 67 coupe I plan on cutting out the quarters for the side scoops, and hoping I can cut out the roof skin and use that also. Have rear rails, and trunk pan to do first. thanks again for the Great videos they really help.
Hey Jo..now I am living your dream (or nightmare) on my 66 restore. Last night, made a video about how there was no rust through on the entire car, etc. as I had been working all the underbody panels. Spoke too soon. The trunk passenger side floor panel had rust through..(maybe from years of a spare there?) .UGGG...So I get to cut out the cancer , use part of the replacement piece (I am not doing the entire panel, no need) and get to weld in place. The morale of the story ? Just keep on plugging away at the restore and enjoy the ride :-)
Thanks for all of your great videos, my son and I enjoy watching and learning from them. We are working on a 66 mustang fastback and the trunk pans have some rust holes along with the transition pan. If you still have the transition pan you cut off would you be willing to sell it? THANKS again for your great videos!!
Great vid and thanks for taking us along. How do you ensure the fender, tail panel and wheel wells fit so you don't end up having something off? Do you simply tack everything together then square it up with trunk lid then finish weld?
+Rudderify Something like that. Once the pan is back in, I have the basic foundation. I can clamp the remaining pieces together, take numerous measurements, and stitch it all together.
What may seem like a lot of money to you, may not be a lot to someone else. We all have our reasons for what we spend our money on. Did you watch all the videos on this car?

+Ulrik Kaul Thanks. I appreciate the comments.
Great metal work. Those pans look alot bigger sitting outside the car than they do when looking at them through the trunk opening. Nice work.
+Double R Restorations Very true, I did an initial mock-up, and your perspective completely changes.
