¯\_(ツ)_/¯ man i said it first ):
Childhood trauma
You’re not scared of the dark, you’re scared of what lurks inside it
I am still traumatised by the dark 😂
That's true I literally thought my hoodie was a demon when I saw it At night
Yes
@@gaugemogle0779yesterday I was sleeping when I thought my backpack was a person :skull:
Since I got lasik last year, I no longer have a fear of the dark. Was literally my inability to see lol
I wasn’t scared of the dark, I was scared of what’s in the dark. But the thing that scared me the most was sleep paralysis
I remember getting up at some ridiculous time for school and I saw something I call the bread monster / a shadow I saw by the bread at like 5:30
OK yeah that's me bro
OMG YES
I was afraid of rollercosters, the dark, and heights
Real when I found out about it I never wanted it to happen
One of my biggest fears is when a battery-operated toy's batteries get low and it starts getting low-pitched and demonic. It always scared me ever since I was very little. It just feels kinda trippy and freaky as hell hearing that.
Same
Same
especially when my firby did that when their battery’s are low
That was my pikachu that had it’s ears wiggle and cheeks turn red
Same,my rainbow dash music toy was malfunctioning and it was a demon
When I would sleep, I would always hallucinate images of creepy pastas and when I would wake up and it’s still 3 in the morning, it would still begin to continue, this is still happening to me and now I have the fear of hallucinating while sleeping
Same I haven't slept in years cuz of it
Yep!
When I was little, my mind would make figures of things in the room. There would be creepy faces and headless bodies. It was horrifying
I to this day have a fear of the dark and when I have to go out I am sprinting and just turning on every light in the house to get rid of the demons out. Anyway burdie I just wanna say u captured the true essence of these fears and ur content always is so relatable so thanks!
I'm not scared of being alone in the dark, i'm effraid of not being alone in the dark
omg same 💀
if you believe in jesus and have a relationship with him, every demon is scared of you, with the lord you have power over them.
I believe in Jesus and I’m a Christian.
I was scared of the dark when I was like three
As a long time fan, i can see the insane improvement in your animations :D keep going Burdie
I know
Oh yeah, 2 years is such a long time, these are barely animations, I am experienced with both 2D and 3D animations, and if I knew anything about animation, it would be that this is most likely made in MS paint
@@name-h7x you just upload random vids.. this guy is consistently uploading videos that are interesting and people care about them. It is true that the characters in the video are most likely made in paint but that doesnt matter even a little bit
@@ferkis123 How is a bird made in MS paint smoking weed "interesting" also quite a hypocritical statement, you have never made an animation, I checked your channel AND WHAT THE HELL IS THIS DREAM MANHUNT "ANIMATION" IT IS A SLIDESHOW, NOT AN ANIMATION, these are not "stories" most of the time and for sure are not animations, he barely even draws differing frames! A 2D ANIMATION IS DRAWING DIFFERENT FRAMES, I CAN TELL YOU HAVE NEVER WATCHED A CARTOON OR CARED ABOUT THEM, THEY DRAW LOADS OF FRAMES, I HAVE SEEN LOADS OF UA-camRS HIS AGE THAT MAKE BETTER ANIMATIONS WITH MORE EFFORT PUT IN, your only "animation" is a dream manhunt THAT GOES SECONDS PER FRAME, I BET YOU DO NOT KNOW WHAT THAT MEANS CONSIDERING YOUR LACK OF ANIMATION KNOWLEDGE.
@@ferkis123 I was born in 2008 I was also scared of the dark when I was little, I would sometimes call for my mum when I woke up in the middle of the night because I was worried a monster would be under my bed lmao. I'm turning 16 this July
When i was five i had a fear of hallways, even the one in my old house. I dont have the fear now but they still kinda give me an uncanny and nostalgic feeling
same
Facts. Especially those hallways that are uncomfortably long af. If I'm in a relatives house, ok I get a feeling but not too bad. But if I'm in a hospital, closed or abandoned school, or hotel and I see lights flickering, nope fuck that I'm turning around and going right back out that entrance. Horror movies definitely don't ever help with that either though lmao.
The bigger question is why did you have that fear and how the hell did you get it?
@@YeeterzYT6259 nightmares of being chased down a long hallway by a thing in slow motion. That's how I got it
The real reason I’m scared of the dark… is my BROTHER. He doesn’t scare me anymore. But when he did scare me, I’d be getting my pajamas on. Dang he was scary..
I've always been disturbed at the sight of worms since I was little. Here's why: one day during elementary school lunch, I wanted to see if this seed that I ripped out of a peach would grow itself back. When I got home, I grabbed a spoon and a water bottle and started digging in my backyard. However, I had NO KNOWLEDGE whats so ever that worms even EXISTED, so when I saw a random gradient-colored long line with no eyes or mouth jump out of the soil and squirm around on the concrete in all directions, I ran into the house so fast, and my mom had to get the spoon I left outside😂. I might be years older at this point, but I still have that phobia to this day.
I also had a worm phobia when i was little. I'm now older, and i kinda overcame it. I am no longer scared to death of them, i can look at one of them, but when there are a lot of them, i simply run away
look at a worm under a microscope. its scary
Same phobia I have kinda overcome it due to I like animals aka a turtle and planting in general. I avoid them at all costs but not as bad as when I was little
I used to collect worms dead and alive, I was weird as hell 😭
I don't like worms either they gross me out
As a kid, FNaF was the most scariest thing ever to me
I beaten 3
On fnaf 1 im on night 7 same thing with 2, 4, I’m on night 4 and fnaf 6 I’m on Tuesday and fnaf 5 I’m on night 4, I’ve never beaten a fnaf game
Edit: I beat fnaf 1 and im bouta beat 2 and 4
@@xxar6 I was born in 2008 I was also scared of the dark when I was little, I would sometimes call for my mum when I woke up in the middle of the night because I was worried a monster would be under my bed lmao. I'm turning 16 this July
I am the kid but I didn’t scare the FNaF games (Every FNaF, from first fnaf to Help wanted 2, they all are didn’t scary for me)
Bro I'm 20 now and I'm still scared to play it.
I have a bad history with shots. When I was younger, I recall seeing an episode of Daniel Tigers Neighborhood, where Daniel was afraid to get a shot from the doctor. Once he got the shot, he told the audience that shots aren’t so bad. And I believed him. And later that year when I got a flu shot, I expected it not to hurt AT ALL. And it did (obviously) and I’ve forever hated shots since
I remember watching that one no way
Saw the smile dog image when i was young. kept me up at night for months.
Right very creepy
Same, and istg Jeff the killer was freakin horrifying
Burdie always got that epic content 😎

shutting the light off then rushing to the bed is one of the most difficult actions to master in life. Not even gonna lie, it should be an olympic sport
I run up the stairs so fast When I turn the lights off 💀😭
Bro I sprint up the stairs like usain bolt when that happens
I mastered It at the age of 12
Relatable
I was never really afraid of the dark I just had a phobia of being afraid of being alone in the dark
Same.
@@Hxde- cool
@decoherence3406🧢
Same here. Though I wasn’t scared of being alone in the dark. I was scared of being unsafe in it. If I had a place to hide, such as under my blanket, I was all good.
@@wintershock yeah, dude the blanket is always the my go to place. out of sight out of literal existence when you’re under any blanket
I'm not scared of the dark, but when I'm in my room at 3 am and its pitch black, i start having the most trippy hallucinations
I used to be scared of mimes and the dark or nighttime when I was younger. There was a phobia for it that I forgot the name of. It was a very long word for the fear. Mimes freaked the crap out of me as a kid. I’m not scared of them anymore, but they just creep me out to this day. For the dark/darkness or nighttime, my mom sometimes forgets to plug in my nightlight at night before I go to bed when I was a kid, making me too scared to go to sleep because I had a feeling that something was going to be in the corner of my room. I didn’t really like wandering around in parks or downtown in the city that I live nearby at night, since I have a feeling that I might pass by a bush and something might jump out at me, scaring me relentlessly. Glad that I no longer have these fears, along with having a fear of needles and other sharp objects. I fear nothing now, not even death or if I’m about to die either.

Ik what the fuck is that bro
@@okandnooneasked6853your scared to get scared I guess? So you will be scared if watching a horror movie. Just guessing though.
Love this guy so funny and relatable
I had a fear of falling into the sky for a solid 7 years, it was to the point where I couldn’t look upside down without having a panic attack 💀
BRO ME TOO
Same
the #1 fear i had was roaches... EVERY SINGLE TIME I SAW ONE I RAN SO FAST THAT FLASH CRIED
Thank you for not showing disturbing pictures of every single fear, this way I can actually watch the vid at night and I don’t gotta put my phone face down on my nightstand
nah I got so many random phobias 💀💀💀💀
Me too 💀
I love how burdie’s animations of scary things make me less scared of the things I used to be scared of and still scared of.
“To my parents it probably sounded like ‘jhgajhfejhghgsjla’” got me laughing 😂😂😂
i just started watching this channel and i gotta say i already love these videos, they are hilarious and entertaining! keep it up!
Dude birdie im such a big fan keep up the good work you deserve more subs
Burdie the live action Grinch scared me too. I literally screamed when I saw the trailer as a kid
Same.
Me too.
I never got scared by it. I thought it was funny.
What I was ten, I was in a spirit Halloween and a little girl ( real person ) came around a corner and I died inside
I was afraid of balloons when I was younger 😂
I was also afraid of needles, I remember one time they had to chase me across the hospital for me to get a shot
same with the needle one, i had trauma 😭
Dude I'm still afraid of needles but when I was little I was afraid of dogs
I also had a fear of balloons, I really Was scared of the loud popping noises of em
I was (and still am) terrified of:
Stuff with completely black eyes
Those holes in the pool
And needles
With the needles fear, I tend to get really aggressive when someone tries to give me like, a blood test of something.
alot of people have black eyes lmao
If their aliens
I can relate to the needles one. I still get nervous about needles but my fear has definitely gotten better
for me, i just straight up start crying every time i even look at a needle 😭
@@DingleMcHoppernoodle My advice would be to close your eyes. It’ll be over in 3 seconds. That’s what got my fear better

You gonna have a good day when Burdie uploads thanks Burdie you made my day :D
The comments sections of these videos are great for sharing childhood experiences and finding out that people had similar ones.
When I was young, I was scared of the usual stuff kids were scared of, monsters in the room at night, killers breaking in, etc. However, one fear that didn't change was my fear of bees, wasps, and hornets. Fortunately, I don't run and scream like I did when I was little anymore. But if one flies at least a few feet close to me I'll literally freeze until it flies away.
Theres no reason NOT to be scared of bees/wasps/hornets. They can't kill you but they can most definitely hurt. No reason to be in pain if you dont have to.
@@Quick15 yes I agree with your statement
@@Quick15u should only be scared of wasp and hornets bees most likely won’t attack u
@@ayo4773 You never know.
But yeah bees probably won't.
I have a phobia of wasps and bees and got stung recently
I'm scared of the silence, it is a weird fear. The thing about silence is that it seems very wrong and the silence makes you feel alone and vulnerable.
Man vhs tapes had me up all night 💀
I was actually dead scared of mushrooms too. I once saw this weird video on YT taking about the deadlines of mushrooms (only if u eat tho but I didn't catch that). Saw a harmless mushroom in our backyard once, and it scared the shit out of me😂😂😂
ong the same thing with me man idk what it was bro but my 8 year old self thought if i touched a shroom i was gonna die
I relate so much to all these.
Dark-Yes
Fnaf- Used to play and quit like half way in or quit before it started
Spirit Halloween- hated this place too
4:04 That symbol monkey- I remember seeing someone play this and had nightmares about it
Dentist- hated the dentist too
THE Talk- we had to watch little kids ask questions about puberty. Showed a probably only 10 year old kid ask “what is it called when it gets harder” and “why do I wake up to sticky pants sometimes” like oh nah
Creepy pastas- this is especially relatable. Used to be scared of this. I was scared of this one creepypasta about not thanking the Fortnite bus driver😂. I also used to watch someone called like Mr.Nightmare who would post scary stories.
That episode in Adventure Time- scared the f out of me when I was little.
Grinch- I thought the Grinch looked kind of weird but wasn’t really scared of him bc he was funny.
Horror Chain- I used to be scared of this and it was one with a girl haunting
But one of my own fears was the hellhounds from black ops 2 zombies. I started playing BO2 when I was 5 and haven’t stopped since but I had like 3 nightmares about it. I had one where I walked out of my room and saw the hellhound on the kitchen table (it for some reason had a 2 foot high stack of mail)(the table). It saw me and I ran back into my room, jumped on my bed, and when I looked back it jumped at me and the dream stopped right before it got me. Another reoccurring dream I had was where some horror thing would be walking down the hallway like the hellhound or symbol monkey.(used to sleep with the door open for some reason) and it would see me and run at me and jump at me until the dream stopped. I also couldn’t talk or get out of bed to hide, just made noises like my mouth was duct taped and apparently I would yell while I was sleeping so I guess I was yelling in the real world and not in the dream.
This reminds me off time i had sleep paralysis for 3 days but then it just stopped
10:27 I thought it was going to be The Nightmare Before Christmas
ikr i was so scared of the boogie man i thought he was going to pop out of my tv
The dark is not what scares us

I was never afraid of the dark but I was afraid of what’s in the dark
5:59 bro casually put a T-34/85 there 💀
I used to get hallucinations in the dark when I was a kid. I also had a phobia of strangers. Because of serial killers and criminals that exist in our society. But now that I'm a grown man. I'm not scared of those things anymore.
don’t think your a grown man if u misspell society.

Bro the mc Donald’s sound with the hospital 💀💀💀💀 5:42
1:57 Honestly I did the animal-walk up the stairs too when I was younger. I don't know man, something about walking up the stairs on all-fours was fun for some reason
Also anyone who grew up around 2014 knew how scary FNAF was back in the day
1:38 I was scared of the dark 5 -10 yrs old
But at the power outage dark still scares me to this day…
I'm scared of spiders not just that they're creepy just the legs play imagine feeling that on your back😮
I have a hospital that waiting room looks exactly like that. Same chairs same wall paper 4:47
The one gumball episode with the clown scared the shit out of me when i was young
I have a lot of childtrauma because of early and unsupervised internet access (though it didn’t effect me until a few years ago) it really fricked with my brain bec of the amount of gore and horror movies/games I watched. I wasn’t scared or got nightmares from them but they effected me a lot, never had a fear of the dark I preferred it but I had a big fear of syringes (not as much anymore) and elevators (which I still have a fear of or more of a panic attack when I’m in one)
The grinch live action traumatised me too
2:05 It IS actually the fastest way to go to upstairs
4:41 oh, I fricking hate getting those.
I used to be frickn TERRIFIED of them 😨
It didn’t help the fact that for 3 years I was battling Leukemia and most of my treatment involved needles and injections of all sorts.
Nowadays I’ve built up a tolerance to them basically and don’t give two shits about them. One thing I can’t stand though is pill swallowing cause whenever I can’t swallow the tablet in one try, I get overly anxious and just let it sit there.
I got 5 shots last month.

I used to be afraid of the dark and needles as well. But thankfully at a young age. I had a Person gives me a shot and it didn't feel like anything. And for the rest of my life, I was so excited about getting shots. And when I got my blood test. I didn't feel it at all because they had put numbing patches on me. And also I was afraid of the dark but one night when I fell asleep in the Dark, it was actually very comfortable. When I wasn't scared no more

I was scared of smoke alarms. Even to this day, sometimes I get a little spooked. Plus, needles always get me shaking and sweating. As a kid, I wasn't that scared of the dark but as Burdie said all kids are, maybe I just don't remember. My inner goth started growing when I was very young, I wasn't scared of creepypasta and all that shit but smoke alarms and needles never failed to freak me out lol. Also I had this crazy dream once about Battle Cat and Panther from He-Man but as snakes that tickled me so I was scared that they were lurking in my room when I was like 3-6.

Now that you mention it I had this one fear of being brain probed by aliens. This occurred after I watched Indiania Jones The Kingdom of the Crystal Skull. That scene where that Soviet lady gets burned alive by staring at the alien scared the hell out of me. After seeing that back in 2008 I kid you not but for several months I made sure to cover my head so I wouldn’t get probed.
1:10 “GUBALAJAK JUBALA” such wise words.
Here’s a dumb fear I had once: I remember being afraid of the New Super Mario Wii game over. No reason at all. I guess it was because it was in a dark screen or something. It was to where I feared it would randomly play on a turned off tv, so I covered myself in blankets during night so I never saw it. I got over it after a while, but yeah.

I was laughing so hard to the point where they nearly slapped me for making way too much nose on the mushroom 🍄 part😂😂😂😂😂
I’ve never had a fear of clowns, disembodied heads, or robots but Chortlebot from Wario Land Shake It scared the living shit out of me when I was younger
The 200's grinch was the best for me
When i was a kid clowns were my biggest fear now they are my biggest kink😢
I'm not afraid of the dark, I'm afraid of being alone in the dark.
The dentist problem is so relatable
Dude the imagine a picture in bed thats so relatable. I couldn't sleep as a kid
See a lot of people clown me for being 16 and "afraid of the dark" but what they don't know is I'm not afraid of the dark I'm afraid of what's in it
Growing up I could never watch a horror movie without covering my face even though I grew up on Halloween Friday the 13th nightmare on elm Street all the classics but one day I decided to binge watch Friday the 13th and I didn't jump or cover my face once
The one thing that scared me most was buzz lightyear being evil in Toy Story 3 it gave me nightmares
I used to have a weird fear of mirrors because when the lights would turn off I would see something strange in them and I thought the thing I saw inside of it was going to kill me. When I would look at the mirror in my bedroom in the dark it would feel like I couldn’t move
I some how relate to the mushroom one I used to think they were some kinda animal corpses
Now the grinch has a horror movie
I remember having a fear of bugs specifically I saw a lot of water bugs as a kid.
I never was afraid if the dark because since i was like 3 i just slept in my room with NO LIGHTS until now and honestly its WAYYY better
I left my device in my room while playing this video and my dog was so invested-
