      Yes, but more so when combined with other local ports to form the Port of South Louisiana. Which extends 54 miles!

    Thomas Jefferson was willing to pay $10 million for barley any land
    He just wanted the port
    But napoleon was willing $15 for the whole Louisiana Territory
