So, to really have that meal, you traveled back to snatch the meal from your past self. Traveling back in time is one crazy paradox. It's my advise that if you discover a way to do it, Do Not.

It seems to me that if person A goes back in time then he is now in a time where, at that time, he did not exist, therefore he cannot interact with any object or person, all he can do is observe. Likewise people in the time he goes back to cannot interact or even observe him, because in their time he did not exist. The age-old questions related to killing your own father cannot happen. Therefore, we could be surrounded right now by time travellers watching our every move and we will never know it and Hawkin's party could have been a huge success and only he didn't know it.

It’s not illegal but the thing is, time travel would not be effected by any human-made law but could be affected by a universal law. However, no universal law has been found that directly reprimands the action of manipulating time.

Go into orbit around the earth and everything will look relatively normal however there will be a very small delay because of the time it took for the light to get from the earth to your eyes. Now start travelling away from the earth at half the speed of light, still facing the earth, the light is still going faster than you so it will go into your eyes if your facing the earth, however everything on earth will seem to be happening at half speed (if you have a powerful enough telescope to still see it). And now repeat the same for going at the speed of light, this time no matter which way your facing, you will not see any light coming from the earths direction because your traveling at the same speed that the light is, if you turn away from the earth then everything your looking at will seem to be happening at double the speed. ChillinPlayer YT maybe scientists have realized that if time travel was possible and someone went into the past to give it to someone that their time line would be erased... Meaning they never could have given the time machine in the first place.

I would say a big problem is, if i would travel back in time, then i would do that to change something. And if i would change this in the past, my present myself would never travel back in time. thats the biggest issue with time travel.
Unless the multiverse system exists instead. Then we'd just need to hop from one universe too the next. It would also open up the possibility to see every outcome of a single event.
It wouldn't stop you from going back in time, it would create a new timeline. And a multiverse basically could be responsible for that.
Well we can have two solutions to your problem.
1. Multiverse: When you travel back in time and change the past, you just opened a new timeline. The "original" timeline which you came from is unaffected by the decisions you made.
2. We only have one past, and you travelling back in time to "change" the past is actually a part of the past. In other words, there is only one timeline and everything is fixed and you can't change anything.

Time dilation does not exist. What's perceived as time dilation is just technical or physical discrepancies caused by gravity or speed that affected the clock (nothing to do with Einstein's relativity). Time has passed exactly the same amount for both the person on earth or the person traveling on the space shuttle.
Hence, time travel is not possible in any manner or direction. Time is absolute and is not related in any physical way to space or speed.

If you look a long way away you are looking back in time, If you were 8 million light years away from Earth but you could still see it, you would see Earth 8 million years ago.
Unless wormholes and Space time things are possible, you can only see the past not go there. For example go about 23 light years away you will see yourself being born, ( If you are 24 )

Have you ever heard of time slips? A time slip is where an individual seems to go back in time. But, it's something to do with the human mind that gets affected. Basically, you can be walking and all the sudden everything will change into something of another time. Sorry if I explained it bad, but I watched a video about it and it explained it. Lots don't believe in it but I do.

Have you ever thought of if you went back in time before your time machine was created you would have never built the time machine
Why not? Simply going back in time wouldn't change you creating your time machine. The only way that would happen is if you killed yourself or somehow destroyed the machine before you used it. But then, because the time machine wouldn't exist, your current self that traveled back in time would theoretically cease to exist as well because your other self would have no way to travel back in time, meaning you never would have been able to.

It’s like trying to use math to find what created the universe, exactly, it’s impossible to do with math or any other things we use in our modern day lives, just because someone tells you going below is impossible doesn’t mean it is, that’s like me telling you if you go to the edge of the universe you will die. You could become a celestial entity capable of anything, godlike per say. Strange Antagonist it is impossible to travel back in time other than with worm holes. If you went through a worm hole safely to a new point in space and time going back through the wormhole would bring you back to the point in time you left, but no earlier.

I think that we are able to slow down time, but giving it a number 1 being average time, and -1 being reverse regular time, that time is always greater than 0.
listen, if you travel back in time and change things, the world would change right in front of people eyes. anything you do in past will affect the future. since nothing has changed, that means no one has travelled back in time. the only way to travel back in time is if you travel back but ended up in an alternate universe. you also could travel back in time but you wouldn't be able to change anything as "time" would always find a way to stop you or set things straight. now, time travel to the future is probably possible.

Finally someone said it! Altough travelling to the future would also affect the future. And the future changes constantly so you would probably get stuck in an eternal paradox or just die.
how do you know nothing has changed? maybe the only reason your alive now is because that time traveler went back in time and changed something...also if u can travel faster than light then u can go back in time by looping back around at faster than light speeds and catching up to your present state basically youd run into your present self
hongpingmike no it wont. because time would still move as fast as normal, say that you travel back in time and prevemt something from happening, like a terrorist attack the people from then will know that you prevented it from happening wich will make the people from the future know that you prevented it. so the time with the terrorist attack gets erased and replaced by the new one without the attack.
