    Oh my gosh. Your elevated foil trick with ice could’ve saved my pumpkin cheesecake I made yesterday! I did a water bath and water got in through my heavy duty foil. 😭😭😭

    I like the idea about making a platform with aluminum foil. I always hate wrapping my springform pan‘s in the foil. I make 4” cheesecakes and it’s just a pain wrapping. Some cakes still get a little bit of water between the foil and the sides of the springform. So I’m gonna try your trick.... thanks for sharing!!!

    Wow! Looks great! I know they are best done in a water bath it's usually a little messy , but the foil platform and ice, GENIUS!!!

    This is my go to recipe when i crave for cheesecake. I have done this soooo many times. The only ting i changed over time is the amount of flour that i have reduced. Know is 1/4 cup..

    Prepared earlier today and left in the oven for five hours after shutting it off. Middle was a bit loose. What would cause that? Tasted delicious!

      Another question, is true that once you put in the eggs you should be careful on mixing it vigorously because it is one of the reasons it will crack?

    Omitting the sour cream in the cheesecake, will it make the cheesecake taste more eggy?

      Imo, it won't because there's still 4 blocks of cream cheese. I just made a different cheesecake with no sour cream, 3 blocks and 4 eggs (whisked egg whites).

    I thought Graham Crackers were what Americans called our British Digestive Biscuits? The biscuits used in this recipe look like Marie biscuits not digestives.

      Yes, leave it in the oven! Otherwise it’ll crack as soon as you pull it out. I’ve taken the cool down into the oven into account for the recipe

      No worries it does not change the taste (: To get that picture perfect New York Cheesecake, here are two great tips: 1. Do NOT open your oven door while it is cooking! If there is a sudden temperature change your cheesecake will crack. Cheesecakes need to be cooled slowly so it’s best to leave it in the oven with the door closed and let it cool down with the oven itself. 2. Another big cause of cheesecake cracking is that it is overcooked, so make sure to follow the recipe so your cheesecake ends up perfect.

      Since I personally developed this recipe, no you don’t need to. The other recipes you are looking at are other recipes.

      This isn't a lemon cheesecake, nor is it gluten free. So if you want lemon, or don't want flour, you should probably use a different recipe.
