- Made in 1953, "Ram Power in Action" promotes the new 1953 Dodge cars. The film emphasizes the car's directional stability, comfort, speed and performance. The "Red Ram" engine is the centerpiece of the automobile, and it is shown off in a variety of ways including a police chase at the 18 minute mark.
The film begins at mark 0:50, with a script writer and his secretary writing about movies on new cars in action. The main purpose of the movie is going to be to describe the performance qualities of the 1953 Dutch. It shows the audience of what the car can do in term of acceleration, ride-ability, steering or braking power. This was said in a meeting at mark 1:42. At mark 2:14, the new car is shown. A demonstration ride is taken with an engineer long with a writer who is taking notes on the qualities during the ride as seen at mark 3:20. Notes are taken on the comfortable seats and the head roof. Also the only time you have to use the clutch is when you want to set it in driving range and from then all that is needed is gas regulation and steering at mark3:50. When you ride in the ‘53 Dutch, you get a sensation on the pedal power. As seen at mark4:28. At mark4:31, the driver shows a special demonstration of what she could do when it came to getaway, she could drive into action from a standing start. The note was taken and it’s nice to know the power is there. It can be driven at top speed as seen at mark5:10. Engineers call it directional stability. It is the result of combination of suspension, shock absorber and the steering mechanism. As a result of this demonstration, ideas were built for the performance speech as seen at mark5:40.

The test is seen at mark 14:25 and done with the same skilled driver for both cars. At mark15:30, the two cars are also set up for a race with the idea of the 53’ to catch up with the 52’.

My dad had one and it was the same green as that 'cop' car. Really fast and a great road car. Drove from S.F. bay area to Texas several times. Never a hiccup ever...if you don't count blow outs from that eras crappy tires. Very unique transmission, too. I sure miss those days. Real good family times on those long hauls.

That's it I'm sold time to visit my local Dodge Dealership and pick up a new 53.
They should have made ads like this throughout the 60's when the Chrysler 392 was crushing everything else . Oh yeah , they discontinued all of these in 1958 . They spent an extraordinary amount of money to match the 392 ( and 354 for that matter ) in the " Max Wedge " program. That didn't work out so the 426 Hemi was developed. It would still take 2 decades ( well into the 1980's ) to truly beat these old engines.

Any way you can obtain some new modern technology that will raise or lower the volumes of your videos so its always a decent level? The volume on this video is extremely low when compared to other video.
