Thank y'all for the comparison video! I've been curious for a while now and if you don't mind - could you share a bit more insight into how you test the mic quality for your articles? I have been getting vastly different results on my own testing and would love to hear more about how you conduct yours. Cheers!

Pixel buds battery life is average at best - even with many of the features off. I prefer Sony's 1000X series - even with LDAC i get about a little over 6.5 hours at 60 db volume. ANC wise, Pixel is best indoors only. The house sound tuning of the two models they're both very fun to listen to across contemporary genres.

I've had two pairs of wf1000xm4's, they both failed shortly after the 2 year mark! Both because of the headset battery. Loved them so much j bought them twice. But idk if i can commit thst amount of money to Sony again.

Me too!! My right ear bud is starting to only last less than two hours. I'm willing to try the pixel buds since I already have a pixel phone.

I have the Sony and the PixelBuds. Sony's design makes them slip, even when I try different pieces. So ANC does not really work there. I figured that Google sits perfectly. No slippery no nothing and extremely good ANC, since I'm autistic, I feel stressed in loud streets and Google Pixel buds filter the most sound out, while Sony doesn't due to no fit.
I think it's not fair, how Sony won, because in reality you won't hear a difference.

Do your pixel buds make a slight hissing or static noise in ANC and transparency mode too? Mine do and I can't stand it

Can't justify buying another Sony product after the app just breaks the compatibility with my headphones. It constantly disconnects. Only fix was to delete the app but now I'm missing out on a bunch of features. I'll got with the pixel buds for Christmas but I'm also surprised how somewhat similar their prices are. In Canada, the sales going on right now are conincedently the same prices shown on the video. MSRP though is $299 for pixel and $429 for Sony which is not close.

So true. I have both. I prefer Pixels for everyday music and conferencing calls, but when I am about to travel by train or plain, I switch to the Sony.

I've had the Sony WF-1000XM4 for almost 2 years when the left battery started acting up, dropping from 100% to 15% in less than an hour. I've found out that it's a very common problem that Sony hasn't addressed. I've contacted their customer service and it will be repaired under guarantee as it happened just a few weeks before the 2 years mark. The customer service (in France at least) is not helpful at all, and a lot of people got the issue right after the 2 year mark and didn't get any repair or compensation.
Therefore I just ordered Google Earbuds Pro 2 and will get rid of the Sony once I receive them back from repair (if they get repaired for free I don't know yet). I don't trust Sony at all anymore.

To me the Pixel bufs were unlistenable until I cranked the treble up and bass down. Now they're acceptable not exceptional. I think that the galaxy buds 2 pro are probably just as good if not better, but I definitely need the multi point and battery life in the Google's. I thought for sure these would sound at least a decent amount better than a 2 year old product but they're at best even.
I would check out the XM5's but I dont trust the battery life (at least over time)

Companies use 60% as the volume level or these limits, so the results vary and it is difficult to really get the number they announced, but 7 hours is very good.

@@reubenbermudez8388 If you care about the battery a lot, take a look at the P40i. As a sound, it is good like most items, but the ANC is not the best. In comparison, it also has 12 hours and 60 hours with the box, and at a price of only 60 dollars. This is if you do not mind using items at this price. Most of the high-end items come with a battery life of... The best case is 8 hours, and after trying it, it is annoying

Pixel buds have QC issues and seem to have a constant hissing noise in ANC and transparency mode. I've had the same issue on two units now. I don't know anything about the sonys, but I would not recommend the pixel buds. Very disappointing.

I hope that Sony realizes that there is no point in continuing with the round shape and switches to sticks. This will provide a better battery and the opportunity and place to add a dual driver or magnet planer.

@@MML66 Just like how Samsung realizes and launched a shitty tws that looks like a Cybertruck. Bose has already gone back to bud design from stem. Don't want Sony to make that mistake. And by more battery, what do u even mean? Sony's flagship tws provides one of the best battery life. In fact, i want every Sony tws to be like the Linkbuds S, one of the most comfortable and best designed tws.

@@robinyumnam2646 Do you call Bose's designs a stick? They have not designed a stick since the beginning of the company, so they only reduced the size and not moved from one shape to another. They did not realize anything, as you say. The Galaxy Buds3 Pro also have a dual operating system that is superior to most items in the market in terms of quality. Sound and small details as well. This is one of the benefits of the stick. Wait until you see every company turn to this design.

LMAO switches to sticks? Provide a better battery? Based on what? There are many round shaped buds without sticks that have significantly better battery life than buds with sticks. Hell, even the Pixel Buds Pro 2, which are SMALLER than the OG Pros, ended up getting longer battery without needing a stick on it.
