In general I find Asymmetric tread tires to have major advantages to directional tires because you can rotate them properly to all 4 corners to even out treadwear. Directional tread tires do have an advantage in the rain but they can only be moved front to rear because they can only roll in one direction. Additionally, for low mileage vehicles that aren't driven in freezing conditions, super soft low-treadwear tires have many advantages. Aside from having better response and overall grip, you will actually use more of the rubber before they reach the end of their service life. High treadwear tires can have a LOT of rubber left on them when they reach the 10 year mark where the rubber no longer "works". I ran a set of 200 treadwear Falken RT615 (205/40r16) for about 10 years and I loved every second of them. Insane response on the street. Jerk the wheel at 45mph and was like the seat would punch you in the kidney! Lost most of that insane response when I switched to Firehawk Indy 500 in a taller 205/45r16.
I 110% agree with you about König. I'd always just looked around for wheels in general. It just so happened that I ended up getting Hypergrams for my Volvo S60. Ever since getting them I only look at König. I love their designs, the flow formed weight and the quality along with price. König is by far my favorite wheel company.
Hey I just wanted to say that your videos inspire me so much. Like literally I got the same exhaust and wheel setup on my ek as you because of your videos. You just inspire me to keep going and actually start doing stuff to my car!
i have to say dude, this is the best RSX build i've seen on UA-cam, i hope you're enjoying the car a whole bunch, and i can't wait to see what else you have for the table!
@@ALLDAYANTHONY i can't imagine the amount of work and effort needed to make this series a thing, but i'm happy to hear you're doing your best with it and it has certainly been paying off, make sure to always be yourself and do what you want with your car, that's why i and many people enjoy your content even if we have to wait a week or more for it, keep it up and take care mate
Yes youre right, after you upgrade the rotors and lower it, its gonna look schmick, u have great taste in doing up hondas. Not tacky and not sad boy slammed
Nice wheels choice, I think the RSX needs 18’s from stock. The wheel well is huge, especially more noticeable when lowered. I’m running the FD2 type R 18’s
Bro your Honda builds inspired me to get back into a Honda Got a ep3 for the low and put some Konig hypergrams in bronze with the nitto neo tires you got on the white ek now my new daily looking right
I like the setup!!! its funny you brought up the dekagrams, I actually put them on my RSX back in November after fully rebuilding the suspension for the track. I'm running the potenza RE-71RS on 245/40R17s and the car looks great, minor rubbing on hard corners.
Nitto Tire is a division of Toyo Tires and I believe that some half of the tires for the sport compact are made in the US. Also, all of the off tires they produce are made in US as well
Good choice for the with the 5 spoke. Im waiting until spring to order the new konig ultragram for my fa5. Nice 7 spoke to mimick the 7 spoke HFP/fd2R wheels.
Hey Anthony! I love the RSX build and also that your local too! I just recently picked up a ‘06 Type-S and I was wondering where can I get a Type-R spoiler?
@ALLDAYANTHONY Do you have eom suspension? And if you do, do you have any steering bump? I bought mine with coils and was trying to improve the comfort. Thanks!!!
@ALLDAYANTHONY I guarantee you will love the type s wheels. I had the 16" 02-04 type s wheels on my car and then found a 17" 05-06 Type s pair and it really transformed the car
@@ALLDAYANTHONY I think that is lighter than mine. The BFs are beefy (around 40lbs if I recall right). We're doing a similar OEM+ approach. Next for me is brakes and finishing the suspension restoration - need trailing arm bushings, endlinks. Already swapped the front control arms and rear (Ktuned) and added the 23mm rear sway for rotation.
I had those same coilovers in 2 of my ek coupes, never had issues and they ride pretty good. I paid like $180 a min ago haha 👍🏽 maxpeedingrods definitely stepping up tho
If you wanted to do the sticker on 1 spoke and got that style of wheel you should’ve just balled out on some real TE37s🤷🏻♂️ would’ve looked better too
I unfortunately will never buy konig wheels again. For their price, I can say they do have some great looking wheels, but their quality control for their wheels is horrible. I bought the red hypergrams from them years ago, and let's just say they don't look red anymore. I've never curbed my wheels or anything of that sort, and unfortunately, now my wheels look pink instead of red. How is it that they have such good quality on their products for some and not for all. Maybe I'm just pissed about my own situation, but I have chosen to not to buy a set from them again.
I think there’s a lot of variables to your situation that may have resulted in that outcome. For example, how were the wheels cleaned, how strong of a cleaner was used, we’re they ever waxed or had more UV protection applied, etc. I mean, it’s a red wheel. Red fades, and especially on a wheel that goes through countless heat cycles. I’ve seen $10k HRE’s go from black to a faded gray. It’s not the brand, it’s just part of parts aging. Just need to keep them protected with ceramic coatings or spray sealants. That’s key 🔑
@ALLDAYANTHONY the rims where actually never fully painted. The faces of the wheels were painted but the barrels were never finished with it looking as though it had bad after spray. Yes, they came that way and no, I didn't use horrible chemicals on them. Now, I can admit I never coated them and yes I do know that I should have been more aware of the fading capabilities of a red wheel. The problem is that the company had a horrible reason as to why the wheels were never finished. Due to mechanical difficulties of a mass produced wheel, but in my opinion is not an excuse. The wheels I bought should have had the same treatment of all of their other wheels. I have not seen any of their wheels other than the red ones come out this bad and I'm not the only one that delt with this issue. They even made a post on their own website about this.

I thought about 18’s, but I do like seeing the meat of the tire on the sidewall. More my style
17 x10 is best I will say
Oh yes. Beautiful choice on wheels for the RSX.
Thanks! I think so too!
Bro your Honda builds inspired me to get back into a Honda
Got a ep3 for the low and put some Konig hypergrams in bronze with the nitto neo tires you got on the white ek now my new daily looking right
What you said about the concave wheels on Hondas is so true, I got 15×8 volk ce28 reps concaved on my Ek3 sedan and it looks aggressive as hell 🔥
Yep! Makes all the difference!
Was looking at these for my integra, simple and clean wheels are where it's at and konig is an awesome company
This car doesn’t need anything too fancy. Just something that’s functional and has a good width to it
This thing is going to look so aggressive lowered, loving this build so far
Hoping so!
Greg is the man!! I almost got those wheels for my 22 Civic! Still love them!
Greg is the best!
I still enjoy the Neo Gens on my Civic 🙌🏽 i always have confidence driving on it even in bad weather
Vic Sage pumping, music is lit!
The wheels are looking gooooood
Enjoy these videos. And good to see a dc5 tastefully modded and for your own reasons.
Thanks man. Hoping it all comes together right!
Oh man those wheels will look awesome 👍🏾
Nice wheels! I just went with the Konig Lockouts with Continental Purecontacts on my 2011 Honda Accord.
Good choice!

Hell yeah! I’m sure the Dekagrams look great on the RSX as well!
You know what? I think they look great!

Looking good my boy

Interesting! I didn’t know that!
@ALLDAYANTHONY here's another fact, Falken tires is a division of a company that makes condom 🤣🤣🤣
Deciding wether or not to buy the Hypergram bronze wheels for my SI, $900 is a steal for all 4.
Love your builds man! very nice tasteful!
Thanks man! That’s what I aim for

Good choice for the with the 5 spoke. Im waiting until spring to order the new konig ultragram for my fa5. Nice 7 spoke to mimick the 7 spoke HFP/fd2R wheels.
Consider the ktuner yet?
wow that's a damn good looking wheels.
I highly recommend a dc5 bbk, it looks awesome but you might have clearance issues with those wheels since the bbk is huge compared to factory
Love the videos Anthony!
Thanks man!
Hey Anthony! I love the RSX build and also that your local too! I just recently picked up a ‘06 Type-S and I was wondering where can I get a Type-R spoiler?
Check out my spoiler video. You can order a replica on eBay or try to find a genuine one
Tony, you think these would fit on a honda civic si ? 2009
@ALLDAYANTHONY Do you have eom suspension? And if you do, do you have any steering bump?
I bought mine with coils and was trying to improve the comfort.
Thanks!!!
I love the rim color!!
I think it’ll flow well. Maybe down the road I’ll do a color change. We’ll see!
@@ALLDAYANTHONY Ouh! What color do you have in mind?
@@obbrooklyn no idea lol. But I’m open to options!
@@ALLDAYANTHONY Bronze would be nice on the black, or even white rims if you have them ceramic coated. That's what I did for my black EM2 :)
You should do the TL Type S Brembo upgrade.
you are so right about the rpf1s being played out haha. I wanna switch to Regamasters’ my favorite wheel ever!! Love the rsx content brother!
Love regas! But yes the rpf1 is just way too overdone on this car. Makes them less special
2002 Rsx type s Fbo checked in
Love the content thank you for sharing about Konig wheels
No problem. Thanks for watching
You should consider the s2000 wheels the ap2 v1 they’re pretty much are dc5 type r wheels just a lil different
Are you going with truhart for the rsx
I love informational content
Thanks man!
Keep up the great content love the videos
Thanks man. Appreciate you watching
Hopefully when it’s lowered it will look better.
Maaannnn 😭😭😭 that thang look Nicee
Thanks dude!
Looks nice, I always liked those Acura’s! I had a 97 Integra years back! 😉
Love the 90’s integras. Some of my favorite!
@@ALLDAYANTHONY mine too!😉
Would I be able to fit a enkie rpf1 17x9.5 +38 offset with 255/40/17 on a rsx?
I miss the civic vlogs
🔥🔥🔥
Nice looking wheels. Im gona be running 17x8 +35 Konig Hypergrams on my Ep3 this year. Same colors too funny enough
Should look perfect on that car!
Konig hooked it up! 🔥 Need to see some glamour shots of this on Instagram
I know I need to take some good photos of them
Installing dc5 type R caliper will look better with it
Super nice rims, I plan on getting hypergrams for my rsx
Hypergrams are great! Do it!
If you do put the sticker on the wheels I say paint the brake calipers the same color
Good choice! 200tw tires are only good in perfect conditions and don’t last long at all so they are a waste on the street.
Agreed. I just like the look of them lol
They look considerably better than oem but the dekagrams u have on the civic would be better!
I wanted to keep the Dekagrams to the civic. They fit that car the best
what do you think of the Motegi Traklite series?
Track kites are good! Just wish the spokes weren’t so thin
I love the D2 brake set up!!! This signature purple is looking damn great on your car!!!! Just saying.... 💜💜😉😉
Haha! Eventually I might do something with the brakes, for now just new pads and rotors
@@ALLDAYANTHONY Sure thing!!! Looking forward for your next video!! Take care brother!!

Interested to see how these will look since I haven't seen anyone with these yet, I have 17x9 +35 RPF1's on mine
I’m 99% certain that I’m the first RSX with these lol
I got some Traklites 17x8 and 225 square setup with BF Goodrich Comp2 AS... They weighed as much as the stock 17x7 Enkei with the 215 tire.

Either one. But the civic is always a great starting point
what’s it like to live my dream 🔥
aye! I work at discount tire!
Eh gotta see how it looks when it’s all done. So far, not a fan of them. The civics wheels are def better imo
