My father is homophobic, but I've always fought for the rights of the LGBT community, and now that I'm probably a part of it, I'm going to grow the desire to be an activist even more than before. My dad and stepmom r very supportive of the lgbt community. This is giving me more courage to come out to them. I'm bi, and not ashamed just terrified of what my homophobic mother would do to me if she found out.
Edit: I'm out to most of my friends, they are all super supportive so far. I'm gaining more confidence to come out to my parents.
Edit 2: I just came out to my sister, after a lot of crying she told me that she would always accept and love me. She agreed to help me tell my parents when I'm ready.
