We were on the Legend from 6.28.24 to 7.7.24 but due to the weather we were not able to go to Dun Laohaire (Dublin). We still had a blast at the other ports. Nice vlogs.
Great video guys :) Can you remember when we also had a mine on the seafront in Porthcawl ? You could put coins in it and I think the money went to the RLNI
if you book another carnival cruise, go on the mardi gras or one in the same class. youll have so much more to eat and explore. just make sure you check in for dinner earlyyyy!
The sense of space you feel on the Carnival Legend isn't due to its age. It was designed with a better passenger to space ratio. Even though this ship is nearly 20,000 gross tons larger than the next smallest ship in Carnival's fleet, this class of ship only carries 100-150 more passengers than those smaller ships. Also this ship platform was used across multiple brands including Costa, Holland America, and Cunard.
Legend and her sister ships in the Spirit class are by far our favorite in Carnivals fleet, however since full return from Covid, the design changes, entertainment, staffing and the cancellation of a number of favorite dishes are really noticeable. Closing down at midnight doesn’t help either.
A good vlog guys. I sailed on Carnival Legend about 20 years ago i think. Can't remember much about it but i think it was in the Carribbean. Full of annoying Americans that bit i do remember as i got asked alot of daft questions! Eg: do you have supermarkets in the UK? Did it take you 24 hours on a plane to get here? I kid you not.
It’s in good shape for an old ship. The Americans on this ship have all made an effort to fly to us so most were probably quite different to the ones you met.
Ha Ha Jonathan P.. As an American I have another question. Have you ever heard the expression-" Kiss my Arse in Macy's window" ? I love this channel. 2 lovely people that share a real bond. I enjoy all your adventures and look forward to more.
We actually thought the Titanic museum was a load of 💩. They completely ignore how bad a job they did of building the ship, and ignore the sectarian bigotry in the yard. Much better with a black cab tour of the troubles.
Thank you for the heads up. You have saved me the misery and disappointment of visiting Iceland - what an uninspiring dump it appears to be. I honestly don't know why you and Mel take these cruises - all you do is pack on the pounds around the waist and ruin your livers while grumbling about the buffet and the entertainment. Moreover, you completely abandon the dishy Sean. Why spend a fortune cruising when you have Swansea, The Gower and Barry Island on your doorstep? You could even push the boat out (pun intended) and spend a nice day visiting the delights of Crickhowell and Abergavenny - which are only a 75 to 90-minute drive from Porthcawl depending on which route you take (the tedious M4 or over the stunning Brecon Beacons).
Barry shut up and don't be so rude! They do alot around Wales but some of us like to also go a bit further than our own front doorstep! Maybe you should try it and get a life!

Thanks for watching. Yes, that one can be a tricky port as the ship has to dock quite a way out. We had a good time onboard too 👍

Yes, I remember those. They were quite common in many seaside towns. (I assume they were all defused!)
We're getting on the Legend on August 9th. Thanks for the videos. Excellent!
Have fun! Where are you going?
Doing the British Isles on a 10 day. Finishes the 18th. Then 4 days in London.
@@davidbickford365 Have a good trip, fingers crossed for some dry weather.
I will be on that sailing too! I have been loving these videos.
Holyhead, Greenock, Belfast, Liverpool, Dublin & Cork.

Thanks for the tips 👍
Great series really enjoyed it . Appreciated you both sharing. What’s next 🎉
We're in Wales over the summer then on Queen Mary 2 in September
Think the weather can definitely make a cruise. In sunny climates, think you would enjoy Carnival. Need to do a Royal Carribean next.
We will be trying Royal Caribbean in November

Loving the videos. Those carnival Ships tho arnt what good looks like for interior design, proper migraine inducing!
Yes, good fun but the design definitely couldn't be described as understated.
I will definitely subscribe to Cmdr Riker’s UA-cam channel!!
Make it so number one
Wildlife spotting is not guaranteed.
We know, it' wildlife. But it always nice to get the chance to see animals in their natural surroundings rather than stuck in a zoo.

Harsh words there but each to their own.We thought it was interesting.
Not for us thanks for the vlogs

We're still laughing at the phrase "Dishy Sean"!

You obviously had a good time on the cruise, but to me, its a waste of money, Iceland, so boring and bad weather, not a good thing.
It is called Iceland. You don't really go expecting sun but the scenery is amazing. This was our third time to Iceland.
