seeing yall complain as if these arent hairstyles made for 4c hair is crazy to me. they are braids and TWISTS . if your hair cant do this its either damaged , you didnt prep it , or you dont have any end of story.
My dear the best option is to learn to take care of your hair and ditch the salons. Because most of the time they don't care about your hair and use products that may or may bot work on you and use really heated blow dryers that can seriously damage your beautiful hair. Unless the salon you go to is trusted in hair care, I don't think it's worth spending your money on them
The goal of Protective hairstyles can be to: 1.tuck hair away from the elements (mostly too hot or cold weather) 2.lower manipulation from brushing or combing (manipulation can cause breakage that limits growth) 3.eliminate the stress of maintaining hair every day. (Stress can lead to balding or bad feeling about your hair) Protective Hairstyles I recommend: For growth: mini twist/braids, cornrows, or flat twist. (any thing without added hair that doesn't need to be styled everyday) For stress free hairdays: literally any braid/twist/loc style you can think of(or google). I have 4b type hair so my recommendations and definitions are based on my experience and what works for me.
@@abigailaig not all styles work the same with 4c hair so sometimes it’s better to find 4c hair videos so people can see other people with their textures
The second girl looks like 4c to me n anyway who cares. I feel like only important thing to know is types 1 thru 4 which will let u know how often u need to moisturise but other than that all types 4 work for all these styles
@@zaifu8642 I didn’t say they didn’t work. If somebody with 3c vs 4c does a sleek bun it’s a different process because of the tightness of the curls. I’m not bashing the video I’m js if the video says a certain texture I didn’t expect to see other textures.
@@sanguinesr0se whats weird about saying..."look, your making videos of making black hair look nice because of your salon" but reality is they are using models with what we would call " good hair"...of course those styles come out looking good. Thats being deceptive. Dont trick me with styles on people with "good" hair trying to convince me, my nappy hair will look just as good

What are protective hairstyles?
