- The BBC Live Lounge Session on Radio 1 in the second week of 2007. After having played at Jools' Annual Hootenanny on New Year's Eve, the Live Lounge Session on Radio 1 was Amy's next appearance at the British Broadcasting Corporation - an appearance which is partly featured in the biopic 'Back To Black' that just came out... Amy and some of her bandmates played a short and stripped-down set of three songs, of which two were taken from her second studio album. The third track was a premiere that day. Amy's first on air-performance of The Zutons' 'Valerie' - and what a version.

That film is really poignant… I was gonna ask you what you think of the biopic, but it hasn't been released in the states yet, right?
@@amysarchive No, it hasn't and no publicity to speak of. I am not a fan of biopics. They are never very accurate. I think the documentary was enough, primarily because it showed real events and interviewed real people. I don't think a basically fictionalized film is necessarily. IMHO. Some who have seen it state it whitewashes the father and husband. No thanks. I'll stick with the documentary. Thanks for asking.❤
@@DmPmRr1959 Yeah, I was equally as sceptical about it, watched it last week and I have to say, after seeing some of the photos from the shooting, I expected the worst, but it wasn't that bad. What I liked was that her nan played a big role in the film, which wasn't really shown in the documentary, or at least only very briefly. Scenes like her ODing and getting carried out of her flat on a stretcher with an oxygen mask on, which I had seen pictures of during the time of the shooting, fortunately didn't make it into the film in the end. But after all, I agree with you, it wasn't really necessary after the documentary...
