@@missfredmusiced I've spent, literally, EVERY spare minute this semester working on product creation. The student baristas at the campus coffee shop know me by name at this point :)

Woo hoo! Girl, you had an AMAZING week in sales!
I taught regular sciences and AP sciences (AP biology and AP physics) and it is SO much more fun than regular classes. You get to really dig deep into content and skill.
What summer training are you doing? College Board? NMSI? Independent? I don’t know how it is for AP lit and lang buuut AP biology’s best summer training for me was NMSI vs College Board, AP Physic’s best training was an independent company. My tip is ask people at your training if they have any files they can share. I guarantee there’s one veteran there that’s a AP Career Teacher (they only want to teach AP). That teacher will have a drive of resources.

That’s helpful! I’m doing college board, and if I need more I might find another, so the tip is very helpful! I’m excited!

@@missfredmusiced oh nice! CB is good too.
This might be a stretch, but see if you can get your AP Classroom through College Board up and running during summer (at least the shell without students). You would need whoever your AP coordinator is on campus to give you access-they have to approve your class. The reason I say this is because AP Classroom has improved for students-there’s videos, tons of questions that are at the same rigor (and sometimes suspiciously similar) as the actual AP exam. Plus, you have to sign your kids up with AP classroom (all AP kids do-it’s where they see their AP scores) and you need it to be an AP teacher under College Board.
When I switched from AP Bio/Pre-AP Bio to AP Physics one year, my AP Classroom never switched over to AP physics even though I was approved and all my students were labeled at AP physics. I only had access to the AP and preAP bio. It was such a B word trying to get it fixed with College Board. It never EVEN got fixed. My students missed out big time in practice and a resource to help them pass their AP exam.
Getting access to it early will also let you see the material so you can better yourself to teach at AP rigor.

Pride and Prejudice is the only book that I am hot and cold and hot and cold throughout. I start and think, “Why am I doing this again? This man is a jerk.” Then I think, “This is too relatable.” Then I think, “He isn’t really a jerk.” And I end feeling optimistic.

Hahahaha! It’s Jane Austen’s fault we think we can change a man. She tells him off once and he instantly becomes the most gregarious, giving, open minded person who was there all along he just only let his sister and housekeeper see it. But outside of the relationship angst it’s also just sooo witty. I appreciate her sense of humor in the writing so much!

It’s definitely a juggling act- I’ll answer this question in my next video! Thanks for the question!
