  • Listen and learn from Rabbi Isaac's new Dvar Torah teaching on Torah Parashah Vayetze (וַיֵּצֵא‎) meaning “and he left,” is the seventh weekly Torah portion (פָּרָשָׁה‎, parashah) and covers Genesis 28:10-32:3
    It tells of Jacob’s travels to, life in, and return from Haran. The parashah recounts Jacob’s dream of a ladder to heaven, Jacob’s meeting of Rachel at the well, Jacob’s time working for Laban and living with Rachel and Leah, the birth of Jacob’s children, and the departure of Jacob’s family from Laban.
    Each year we study and understand on a deeper level and we hope this deeper teaching on the concepts of God appearing to Avraham blesses you with deeper insights and spiritual growth!

    What an uplifting parashah! Revisiting this site, brings refreshing insight of the One who makes His Place amongst us and opens our eyes to see the patterns He weaves in this parashah. 2 generations down, Yacov in Vaiyetze like his grand dad Abram in Vaiyera learns to see the Hand and has Messianic encounters on the very same mountain of Moriah. Indeed, our G_d is faithful and opening blind eyes so we can are blessed simchah and cheyn. Praise be to Him

    Oh my... I have always heard the English description of Leah's 'weak eyes' and always thought the reason for this to be wanting of better explanation. It makes sense that she should cry to be betrothed to Esau, perhaps having heard of the type of man he was. So many layers to peel back here; I so enjoy listening and learning all of these teachings. Thank you so much Rabbi/Pastor Issac ♡

      But that was Rifkah.
      If Yacov spent 14 years with Melchizedek, at that time the twin girls were just a year old.
      Any talk of marrying them would have been done with Yacov away from home. And bý then our dear Esau would already have had a few pagan wives. Was it in the context of the twin girls growing up?
      If i were Leah, i would be interceeding that i dont end up with not just Esau but amongst the pagan women.
      And i would have a crush on Yacov for that man of the tent who is now taking post graduate classes for 14 years. Haha

    Genesis 49:33 speaks of Jacob’s feet also after he blesses his sons!

    • @AssemblyofCalledOutBelievers
      @AssemblyofCalledOutBelievers  2 роки тому +2

      Yes "And when Jacob had made an end of commanding his sons, he gathered up his feet into the bed, and yielded up the ruach, and was gathered unto his people." This indicate that the events recorded in Genesis 48-49 all took place at the same time. In Genesis 48:2 we read that Jacob strengthened himself for this great final effort, seating himself upon the bed and placing his feet upon the ground. (See Genesis 49:12.) And now that all was over, wearied with what must have sorely exercised his emotional, spiritual and physical powers, he gathered himself together upon the bed, and soon afterwards peaceably passed away.

    Just like Jacob, men should be learned in the ways of The Most High before they become husbands and father's.. Jacobs way is " let me take my wives and children". He's truly a protector and provider, only procreating with a qualified woman., Esau way is "let me satisfy my flesh with these pagan women", without thought of who/what the children would become. Choose Torah!!
    Deuteronomy 30:19.

    Thank you, I enjoy your teachings. Sometimes I'm not sure if you're correct about certain things though. In this parasha mention is made that ancient Beit El where Yaacov had his dream, is on Mount Moriah, Jerusalem. Yet Beit El used to be called Luz and not ancient Jerusalem, which was called Jebus.
    Where is ancient Beit El?
    It was where Jacob dreamt of a ladder reaching the heavens, and later was the seat of the Ark. Identified at Baytin, some 20 miles north of Jerusalem, biblical Beit Eli is now buried beneath the modern Arab village, yet in its vicinity are some visible remains well worth a visit.

    • @AssemblyofCalledOutBelievers
      @AssemblyofCalledOutBelievers  Рік тому

      There are two lines of thought on this and I have been to both locations researching this. The Beit El named 20 miles north only came after 2000 years when Israel became a nation and they started renaming places and trying to identify the original locations (sometimes erroneously) but our midrash says the tradition of "Jacob's Dream" is also identified with Mount Moriah: "He came upon a "certain place" and stopped there for the night, for the sun had set"... And whenever the term a certain place is used it is usually referring to the portal upon mount Mariah. Even Rashi, R’ Shlomo Yitzhaki (1040 - 1105 CE), notes that the word HaMakom, The Place, refers to the Temple Mount, ‘And he encountered "the place" (28:11)’ And he further says, “The place” is Mount Moriah, the “Temple Mount” in Jerusalem, where Abraham had bound Isaac upon the altar and where King Solomon would erect the Holy Temple.” so I stand with the knowledge of my righteous teachers that came before and who passed down the precious Truths. Hope this helps you understand why it is necessary for me to pass on these forgotten Torah Truths to so many others who didn't have the privilege of Jewish learning growing up. 🙏

      Genesis 28:11 says, "And he lighted upon a certain place, and tarried there all night, because the sun was set; and he took of the stones of that place, and put them for his pillows, and lay down in "that" place to sleep. Rashi on Genesis 28:11 says, that when it says וישכב במקום ההוא AND [HE] LAY DOWN IN THAT PLACE -The word ההוא, "that", has a limitative force: in that place he lay down to sleep, but during the previous fourteen (14) years when he sat under his teachers in the Torah School of Eber (The Yeshiva where he learned from Shem and Eber in Salem at thirteen before Shem had died) he never slept at night for he was incessantly engaged in the study of the Torah (Genesis Rabbah 68:11). Thus, 14 previous years in Salem (Jerusalem) and then in Genesis 31:38-41 Jacob says to Laban's " "I have been with you for twenty (20) years now.”, qualified as, 14 years service for marriage, 6 years for flocks. Hope this helps.
