Have you tried the ST17 Magnamon in conjunction with the Lighdramon in this deck? I tried putting them in after getting somewhat tired of the "brick" hands i some times started with and have found them to be solid lv4s, that can remove early annoying bodies like ukkos and searchers as early as turn 2 while drawing 1 or 2(if lighdra with draw 1 if you have green egg) often digging just deep enough to find the davis and ken or the pail i needed; plus lighdra itself gives you the source for the new 3 cost option. Also magna from sec de-digivolved a Magna X and then bounced during my locals the other day and it was GAS.
Also, running then allowed me ti put in a single magna x i can warp into to block or just do 2 checks with without any worries while the opponent has just 1 security left
Caleb here. I have an intense personal hatred for lighdramon so I don’t play it but especially if you wanna tech in a Magna x I understand and respect it. I like the security Magna a lot but also personally wouldn’t play it cause I find the bt16 exvee fulfils a similar role and is a cheaper evo but the security effect is really good so I can totally respect playing it
@@helixlord0562 i'll have to try bt16 exvee as well then, It didn't cross my mind for this deck but in the other toolbox style imperial i built to run both the new jogress it did hilarious thing when played by the dinobee
@@AlexMartinez-gv7hy all security effects, for digimon, tamers and options are activated before magna x can trigger. So st17 magnamon can dedigivolve a magna x that hasn’t had it’s protection triggered that turn

Did the Magna X not have an armor form under it? From what I know, only option cards have priority in security checks, while digimon and tamers don't

I think one of the hardest matchups for this deck is Vaccine Armour. If they go into Mag X turn 2 its over for the Imperial player :(
Yeah pretty much but in fairness most decks lose to armour vax if they high roll lol
