Her unmissable talent is not just grove or accuracy, but her ability to make old song brighten up like making gasoline from regular to high octane!

Besides all the obvious things to love about this video, and ALL YOYOKA videos, I love how her feet just look like they are floating. Shows how comfortable she has become behind the kit. OK, she has always been comfortable there, but she just gets more precise and relaxed with every video she releases.

I like watching Yoyoka when a fellow drummer is reacting to her skills. I myself am not a drummer, but will always remember sitting at a drumset at a r&r museum. Found out how hard it is to just carry the simplest of beats. Appreciate your commentary.

You know what p's me off? Looks line she is about ready to be yawning. I've been playing now for 60 years and on a song like What Is Hip I'm working hard. She is probably most relaxed drummers I've ever seen!!! Thats why I'm a member. She is the only drummer I monetarily support on you tube. You Let the GoodTimes Roll girl.

Tower Of Power is the reason I love horns so much. I saw them, 2 or 3 times, when I was a kid at our local county fair in the outdoor amphitheater. I still remember jumping around and having so much fun listening to them play.

Scary how good she is at this age... and how good she can get. The ghost notes make the song. Yoyoka and Senri Kawaguchi are my two favorite drummers to watch (and listen to). When I saw her video covering Toto's "Rosanna" and her execution of the half-time shuffle, I knew she was one to keep an eye on.

Hey Wave, did you see the recent interview YOYOKA did with C3. It is great! It's too long for a reaction (19:08), but you really need to see it. She does the most awesome improv solo. Maybe you could do it on your live stream for fun instead of just watching by yourself. " Meet the FIRST Pro Drummer To Play On A Cybertruck - C3 Jams " ua-cam.com/users/results?search_query=Fountain%091934+movie It cracks me up though when people (like you did in this one - not making fun of you or anyone, just for insights into her thoughts) talk about her focus. I always take issue when people say that and quote an old interview, but she once again confirmed what she is thinking about when she is playing. C3: "If you are playing your favorite song, how do you feel?" YOYOKA: "Nothing. "If it's my favorite song, of course it is fun, but if it is not that difficult, I don't have to think about the music so much, so I just have fun, sometimes think about my homework or dinner or normal things."

Since you asked, I'll answer, but only because it's YOU that asked. "What is hip?" Not me. You, Ralph, the song, Yoyoka, liquidy drum heads, but definitely not me. I'm so un-hip I'm lapping the hip so that pretty soon it'll appear that I too am hip, but it is an illusion. I'm just coming up from behind after being painfully and conspicuously ahead. (BTW: Since you asked me a question, I have one for you: Why is it I'm a quarter pounder?)
