I'm not a fan of the anime or manga at all. I think there are plenty of more meaningful and better ones out there aside from this anime, but I dig this piece on its own.
Actually, it is one of the most deep-meaningful animes you can find out there, only that it´s incredible hard to understand. I´m an adict to philosophical and psicologic stories, and this one is still one of my favorites. I just recomend you to be careful with the details, which sometimes can contain some of the most important things to understand (the devil is in the details)

I think the monster designs and fights make it kinda worth it if you're into that kind of thing. But yeah, the story was super rushed and the character writing was very mediocre.
