Compassion in the Family

1 John 3 emphasizes the sign of a genuine Christian, love for God's people. A real Christian has a love for God’s people.
If you're really a part of the family of God, you're going to have a deep compassion for other members of the family. And if you don't care at all, it's evidence that you really don't belong to the father of the family.

​How great is the love the Father has lavished on us, that we should be called children of God! And that is what we are! The reason the world does not know us is that it did not know him.
