This is one of the best. I've listened to many. Loved it
The title of the story is pretty much a "dead' give away what kind of a man Anton is . Also one of the best endings to these stories 🙂
When you tell others of CBS RMT, this would be a good start... but there about 1000 others too.
CBSRMT produced 1,399 episodes, taking about 2 days to complete each one. These were meant to be much like Old Time Radio, what was known as the Golden Age of radio when people would gather ‘round and listen!
WOW! Great ending...I'm very good at knowing how things will end but this one was a total surprise!
+Steve Bergman lol...sorry about that...technology..sheesh!
Steve Bergman can u tell me the lottery results please?? These shows are brilliant arnt they I wish we had these in England? Thanx you tube so very much!!!
That was crazy awesome. I listen to these on my ride home and had to sit and listen to ending before going in. It was that good.
Awesome 👍 thanks
Ah, that was delicious, delightful! Great ending!
I was like, please no not the 🐕....
The correct title is "The Death Wish", changed from the pre-production "The Death Wisher. Another example of pre-production change is Episode #1107, "Jimmy Valentine's Gamble", changed just a couple of hours before the episode was recorded, from "Jimmy Valentine's Guilt". (Reference: "The CBS Radio Mystery Theater..." by Gordon Payton and Martin Grams, Jr.)
not
Not.
It's year's later but back up your childish "not'.
Well E. G. Marshall introduced it as "The Death Wish".
I guessed it from the beginning but still good story

The only thing I can't understand, was when he said I wish your first born dead. Wouldn't you think the older daughter that was divorced be the first born or was that daughter from the mother married before? That evil young man was his actual first born then he pretty much committed suicide by saying what you said ?
But yes this was an interesting story
"The Death Wish," not "The Death Wisher."
Maybe or maybe not, since episode 1069 is titled "The Death Wish" and some original notes indicate this one is "The Death Wisher" and E.G. Marshall probably made a mistake....I'll stick with "The Death Wisher" for this episode.
*Some online information about this episode:*
The title of this episode has a history of controversy. E.G. Marshall announces it as "The Death Wish" but the story is about a person who can wish someone to death. Many people claim the real title is "The Death Wisher", me included. I now have some additional evidence that Wisher is the correct title. I am currently processing this broadcast from WBBM. The person who made the original recording kept notes. Those notes were kept with the tapes and when I acquired the raw digital transfers, the person also sent along scans of those notes. The note that was with this tape has this:
Track 1, Left, Side 1
1. "The Death Wisher" Michael Zaslow 2-17-75
2. "Love Me and Die" Mason Adams 2-18-75
3. "Must Hope Perish" Hugh Marlowe 2-20-75
Then there's the already established evidence that in "The Book",
it's listed as "The Death Wisher". My theory is that the correct title
is "Wisher" and EGM just mispronounced it. I plan to call it Wisher
until I come across a convincing argument for Wish.
@@ChillySunshine you talked this guy right out of the room....nice technique....lol
ChillySunshine ; A logical decision formed from research. Your attention to detail is apparent. (No doubt the reason this is such a good channel)
I've seen this guy draw "The Book" on other issues of minutiae. It was good to see you set him down with it. LOL
@@ChillySunshine Thanks for taking this guy down a peg. He comments on all the episodes and is very condescending, snide and, sometimes, nasty.
@@ChillySunshine Good. The title "The Death Wisher" is less common and more intriguing.
