The requirement to be an idol
1.you have to be skinny (if your not the will put you on a diet)
2.light skin (medium colored skin or light skin)
3.sing and dance
4.pleasant visuals
5.a good attitude and a nice personality

If you want to audition for HYBE labels but it’s only for boys I suggested you audition for HYBE labels japan which is there JPOP company and they accept both boys and girls and it’s for people who are born in 2000 or later and by the way OUI isn’t a female only company anymore because they have a boy group called WEI

In JYP they treat foreigners very nicely- South Korea doesn’t have many black people around so there will be times you encounter racism- but it’s not a daily thing :) hope this helps you out !

Well it deppens on your skills
I’d say it’s easier to build Dance or Rapping skills. Singing is harder to get accepted for unless you have a unique type of singing voice. If spitting words clearly is easy for you, then go with rapping. Or else do for powerful dances.
And when auditioning, dance to a song which focuses on dance. For example, dancing to a song from Ive would not be good since they are not a group who focuses on dance. But going for a Group like ITZY, or even a non Kpop song will better your chances. Though of course it matters for skill and confidence at the end of the day!

Same I'm not 18 I don't live anywhere near South Korea I don't speak any Korean or read any and I'm not very good at singing or dancing but it's always been my dream since I've as little to be in a kpop company because I have always enjoyed dancing and singing. But my parents would never allow it.

Im so happy that the big 3 companies dont take any money for trainee's because im not born in a fully rich family and my parents are very protective over their money so atleast that is a good reason for them to allow me, also if ur parents are not allowing directly, maybe try telling them that you will fulfill certain goals like passing ur up-coming exams, etc.

My dad seems pretty open for this, or I think he is because I asked if I could go to a YG in person audition and he said “do you have a dance prepared” he seems open but my mom isn’t as open as she sees this as her 15 year old daughter might go to Korea and live without her family (she said this to me) I understand her concern which is why if I don’t make it in any of the auditions I will try to do it when I’m 18 since I am planning on going to college abroad, I’m willing to prove to my family that I can have a chance, I’m a bit disappointed with my parents not exactly wanting this for me but I understand their concern

you’re really young, so you can start to train singing/dancing/rapping and find ur favorite! then when you’ll have the age to audition, you’ll have good skills trust me :)

When you're 14, Go for auditions
For now wait til you're atleast 13-15 in the meantime practice vocals, dancing, flexibility, balance, have a diet (when you are 12 only with consent from a guardian), singing, rapping (if not that's fine). It's competitive so don't be sad if you get rejected there's always another time or another company also I suggest learning Korean too.

1. I’m half Thai half Australian (I don’t look Australian at all so that should be fine right?)

Don't choose their companies songs choose other songs which suits your voice the most. And give your best in facial expressions. I hope this will help !!

If you're auditioning for big companies like yg, jyp , sm , hybe they gonna pay for ur tickets and etc but if ur auditioning for small companies maybe they will not pay for ur tickets and all ... That my opinion idk about others I hoped this helps you.

1. Jyp, the way they overwork their idols is just horrible.
2. Yg, liars.

They'll allow you to join school
If you become too much famous they'll provide personal tutor and if you are not that much famous then you can join any school/college in korea😊

I've always liked Jyp entertainment and i even tried to apply the online audition back then when i was 14 years old but i didn't apply because I didn't know my height and as for my weight it's around 42kg idk if that makes me underweight because my friends who are shorter than me weights more than me 💀 well ig my height is around 5'6 or 5'7 but I'm not sure (I'm skinny yes💀tho i wanna gain weight but I can't no matter what I eat I don't gain weight lmao). I can speak Japanese a little and for korean I only know basic words like thank you, hello, etc. I can rap a little, can sing any language song (if i learn) tho the most I'm confident in is Japanese and English, as for dance I can, but I can't make clear steps as I never had any tutor for vocal or dance classes but if i sing and dance everyday for 1 year maybe i can. I'm 17 years old rn maybe I'll try auditioning in next year.

They accept any height for example chaeyoung from twice she is 5”3 I think also they will bleach your skin if it’s to dark but they most likely won’t if your like a light caramel or light tan

Hello! I am 13 years old (male) and I've been really wanting to be a K-pop idol recently but there's a lot things I'm not good at, questions, etc.
1. I'm not that good at singing nor dancing but I'm not sure what's the best way to improve. Ill saying my dancing is better than singing but idk what things i should do to improve
2. I'm not Asian, I'm Hispanic and i look a little bit Asian but I don't have white pale skin I have a bit of tan skin. I'm not sure if the companies will accept me because I'm not Asian (i haven't took a DNA test so i might be a little Asian idk)
3. What is the best company to audition for? I know companies prefer certain talents (for example sm is for vocals). I like singing and dancing so can anyone recommend me companies i should audition for? Also like i said im not Asian so companies that are foreign friendly.
4. Can anyone give me advice on how to tell my parents that i wanna become a Kpop idol. My parents are strict and not open minded so im nervous to tell them. I wanna audition but i need my parents permission so i need help.
5. What is good way to learn Korean? I have Duolingo but i hear people saying that Duolingo isn't a good app to learn Korean and stuff so is that true? If it is then can anyone recommend a good app or a good way to learn Korean.

Hi! first of all you should wait until you improved youre skills and then audition because you are still young ( we are the same age) and if you are more better at dancing you should audition for jyp and jyp also accepts Trainees of all nationality. About You're parents i suggest you audition secretly and after you pass the online audition then tell You're parents and they might support you. Good luck.
And also i recommended you watch k-dramas and youtube videos that teach korean you will gradually learn the language

Go for it! I think after you turn 14 you don’t need your parents consent. But I’d say to still try and get your parents to support you because the journey can be very mentally draining. Good luck!!

@@shaidulislam2420 tbh even if you pass an audition anytime soon, you’ll most likely debut in 5th gen. I’d say try and get your parents permission. If not, practice very hard until you grow a bit older. 14 is not old so don’t worry. In the meantime you can even learn Korean.

I want to audition so bad but I know no one would support it my brother and sister say it's cringe for a none asain person to be an idol and my parent's wouldn't support it especially not going to another country but even so I won't stop trying when I'm 18 I'm audition and from here on out I will practice as much as I can, if you work hard you can achieve anything fighting❤

Put your audition video and photos into Google drive. You will have to manually change the settings of each so other can view it.
There should be a Google form for you to fill to Audition. Put your audition video and photos along with the other needed information.
