Becky, don’t be too hard on yourself for not using your planners, this was a way to find out what works and what doesn’t. This year, I bought 3 planners and instead of beating myself up about not using this one or that one, I am using one for a while then switch to using the other one. So, when I find that the weeks wasn’t doing it for me I switch over to the A5 hobonichi. I have been in the A5 for a couple months and I can feel I am getting bored so I will switch over to my day free hobo or back to my weeks. I am not wasting the planners I bought but I am also not getting bored. Hopefully you find planner peace ♥️

Ah Becky, the struggle is real! But I admire the way you had a nice sit-down with yourself and determined what you need. Hope your new two planner system suits you well and you get lots done!

I've watched this video like 5 times in the last few days. The thing that keeps coming to mind is "there is a different between being overwhelmed in general and being overwhelmed with a specific aspect of life". For me the first requires a back to basics and the second may require an additional item. All this coming from someone with 8ish planners and journals....☺️😊 Still love watching all your videos and you made me want to try an a6, I use it for work and love it!!

Right now I'm in 4 planners and I am definitely considering cutting down in 2023.

🍃🌷🍃I totally agree with you Becky. I had 3 planners last year and it was a nightmare😣. This year I only have 1 and it feels so much better🤗. I have added a diary but I only write in it when I feel like it. Have a safe day🍃🌷🍃

After purchasing far too many planners that didn’t work out, I ended up planning out what I needed my planner to do just like you showed us. The end result is, I have only 1 planner but I have a journal too. The journal has a dot grid on one side and a planner page that I have customized for decoration purposes (so I still have something I can “play” in ). The planner is an a6 that I can carry with me and it doubles as a wallet so it will fit in a smaller purse. I carry very few things and using big purse just so I can drag around a planner doesn’t make sense.

Thank you for both this showing the status of your journals for both you and myself. I have a better idea now of what I want. Good to hear you journal already. Journal for good to clear your mind, let the thoughts flow from the head to your pen to paper.

I love all you’re videos on the planners setups and functionality because I can relate so much and also I get a lot of inspiration from you! ❤️ I could not make the weeks work for myself for a long time, but really wanted to. This year I set it up as my budget planner and I can not live without it! Monthlies for bills, weeklies for daily spending and paydays and the free page next to weekly I use for budgeting the week.

I really enjoy your video’s! I too, have spent a ridiculous amount of money on planners, for too long, that went unused. I have to say…I was so confused when you were going through your planners and was thinking…you’re over complicating things for yourself (IMO), like I used to do. All of your items, minus the journaling, could be put into one cousin and simplified. Then I laughed at myself and shook my head while glancing over to my graveyard of unused, didn’t work, don’t remember why I bought that, and where did that come from, planners. I don’t know why we continue to do it to ourselves-every year. For me, it has to be my love for the paper. I am blaming the paper. SO, next year I’m only going to buy one planner and one journal-at least that’s what I keep telling myself. UGH!

Okay ladies this is awesome. I'm not the only one 🤣🤣🤣 I just did this a week ago. I had standard TN for art Journal, an A5 lecture lechturehm?? Spelling lol, for daily memory jotting. I have a hobboniche mega weeks for medical tracking of my MAS (multiple autoimmune syndrome). Then I have my passport TN for gratitude/quoates. Then a b6 stalogy for practicing lettering fonts. Then last but not least my diary/brain dump of emotional baggage lol.
I think I have it down to three. 😁

I've gone from four planners to two and I like it so much better. I really would prefer everything in one book. My Hobonichi Cousin is my planner and journal. I have a B6 Wonderland 222 for a medical/reference notebook because I care for someone who has a chronic health condition and I need to keep that separate. I am SO guilty of seeing somebody on UA-cam and thinking, "I need to try that notebook/planner!" Slowly but surely I'm getting over that.

I am using my TC Narrow Camel, which I got to combine three notebooks into one: my Hobonichi, my writing, my home are all in one notebook in the three TC inserts and it makes me feel so much better!

I love my cousin but I just found it wasn’t enough note space/pages for me. I’ve switched back to EC. I’ve got a daily duo and a notebook along with their petite monthly for finances. I, like you, was losing track of when my car tags, insurance, etc. was due. I was getting really frustrated and worried that if something happened to me (life is fickle, right?!) my husband wouldn’t know what was due or when. I’ve enjoyed the move and the structure. I’ve saved my decorating and stickers for mostly my journal and notebook. It’s what is working for me today. Who knows what tomorrow holds? 😆

Hi. I hope your new planning style works for you. I don’t want to throw a kink in your works but what I would suggest is that you keep a separate planner, likely another Weeks, which is just for your UA-cam. That will free up a lot of space on your weekly pages in your weeks. You said you film in the morning so you can just write FEU as an abbreviation aka film, edit, upload, in the mornings that you intend to film and then refer to your UA-cam Weeks for more in-depth information. I have tried lots of different styles from other people and professionals and the only one that works for me is a simple running ‘to-do’ list similar to the Bullet Method on the right side of the Weeks on a weekly basis and appts on the left side. I use a simple check box beside each to-do. I know when I look at it what I have done thus far, whether it’s a purchase, a delivery, something I need to get done, email to send, waiting on a reply etc. I black-out the check box once that ‘to-do’ is completed. If not, I roll it on to the following week. Somethings o move forward a week or two if I find that I have too many tasks in a particular week to complete them all. I add things to both the left and the right side of the pages as they come up during the week. I never remember to go to the back pages so I don’t use them on a daily basis. However, I do use them for any phone conversations, notes etc with medical professionals and any other organisations. And on the appt day or the day of the phone call, I put a simple page no. (pg.2) for example and I highlight both the appt and the page number, beside the appt so that alerts me to the fact that the conversation details are available in the back pages. I hope this might help you. Sometimes we do need to pare down things and I am so guilty of wanting to have all the planners and fearing I will miss out on something. It still doesn’t stop me buying them unfortunately, but I still end up using my old faithfuls of The Weeks as a planner, my Travelers Notebook passport as my daily journal. It comes with me everywhere. After all, I’m never to know when I’m going to have a particular difficult mental health day and it helps me to calm myself by writing down my emotions or how I am feeling or my fears or just the weather and my ideas for the day or for the future or just about someone that has pissed me off for that day, lol. I really do not worry about who picks it up or reads it as my grandmother used to say ‘if you read something that is not yours, be prepared to read something about yourself that you do not like. Though it will be different for yourself as you have young children in the house. I use a Hobonichi Cousin for my memory keeping. And I have a shelf full of travelers notebooks and Hobonichi techo covers but they live on the shelf and just come out once in a blue moon if I am working or feeling to work on a particular project, for example a junk journal.

These planners seem to be more hinderance than help. Do you REALLY have THAT much going on in your life that you need a planner for every task, every second of you life, every tiny thing? Tedious, boring and tiring process. People really need the KISS system, Keep It Simple Sister. I know I keep just a daily journal and a simple journal for paying bills at the beginning of each month, sometimes just keeping a daily log is enough. I can't imagine having multiple planners. WAY too much time wasted. Just be simple. JMO!
