I agree Christina is an excellent singer, better than most, but this is still well-produced and probably took a number of takes before they had something they liked, and might even be multiple takes spliced together. Every artist is massaged and created, whether it's a pop star, heavy metal group, rapper or electronic producer, countless hours are spent in the studio making each phrase of a song as perfect as possible, to the point where a live performance could almost never compete.

Her best award is that she touches a lot of people's souls and speaks the words we feel and have not figured out how to speak ourselves. And that we love her message.
Maybe she's not the best singer, but when she is not nervous I can feel the power of her voice running into my soul. Every singer have bad moments, and even when that happens, with Christina, Lana del rey,etc, I can see they're feeling the song, not like other "great singers" that have amazing technique but doesn't even care about what they're singing.
