- This is our 2nd review of the Avanti Palms Resort & Conference Center, and in this one, we also review the food at the cafe.
Avanti Palms has an excellent location at 6515 International Drive, and is situated right amongst unlimited family activities, as well as having close proximity to Sea World and Universal.

Looks like a very nice facility. We've generally stayed in places souuth of SandLake Rd as we were usually in town for the racing trade show at the Orange County Convention Center.

About the card upcharge, here in Indiana some places they charge you for using a card and some places they don't.
Yes, that has been our experience in the places we've been. It seems that a lot of them in the Smoky Mountain area, have started doing it. And it's very common in the Myrtle Beach area, as well. But other areas, not so much.

We just stayed at a hotel in Sevierville and they had a note saying they would only clean our room every 3rd day. No problem, but they ended up coming in everyday? I agree, I would like to know ahead of time, because I like to put my things away in advance.
@ssing2490 Yes, absolutely. We agree 100%.
We had no idea that they would be coming in the room, and if we did, we would have made sure it was a bit more organized.
It could have been on the sheet they gave us at registration, but we didn't see it. We are just so accustomed to places not doing that now, that we didn't give it a second thought.

@travelingwiththeragans No. I don't know that they have memberships, or any affiliation with any group that does.
As far as I know, there are only two of these. Both in Orlando.
Our son and daughter-in-law found it and started staying there, and we have found it to be very economical for what you get.

Don’t mean to be nosey but my husband and I would like to do more traveling but can get expensive so was looking at doing videos too. lol. Another question, since I will be new to all this what app do you use for recording and being able to pause and edit?
Tired old Holiday Inn at least 40 years old. Resort fee is a non starter for me. Room too small! Why not stay at at a new suite property like Homewood Suites, Embassy Suites or Residence Inn and get a nice free breakfast and a 2 room suite?

I think where we decide to stay, is our own business. We're putting the review out there for others. If you don't want to stay there, then don't. But we don't have to give an account as to why we choose a certain place.
However, I don't mind telling you...We didn't need a 2 room suite, that's why.
This place is well worth what we paid for it. And then some.
I honestly cannot fathom living life, only to try to find something to put down or criticize. How miserable that must be. I pray your life gets better.
