- First of all, this was all filmed in February! Stay at home, and stay safe. So this video is an extension of the #Mindanao trip that we took earlier this year. We stopped in #Butuan City, Philippines for a few days to meet with family and do some exploring. We stayed at the wonderful GoHotel in the Robinsons Mall located right off the main road. A beautiful city and peaceful as can be as you'll see throughout the video!

My girlfriend lives in Tagbina. I'm going to visit her. I'm very interested in the culture of the Philippines. My GF has actually never been to Butuan so it will be the first for both of us. I can't decide whether I want to stay at the Watergate Hotel or Diodeths Apartments. They both look nice. My GF wants to visit the beach so we will probably go to Nasuga Beach Resort. She absolutely refuses when I offer her money but I plan on taking her shopping to the SM Mall.
It's going to be a very long trip. I live in Tennessee. My planner suggested I go to Nashville and fly to Manilla. There I will fly to Butuan.

You were definitely right, there isn't much there hahaha. There was a restaurant inside SM city that had the BEST chicken panini that I have ever tasted in MY ENTIRE LIFE!!
The food was absolutely wonderful. We stayed at the Watergate Hotel. Great hotel!!
I experienced a 5.3 earthquake. Being from Tennessee, it was my first earthquake. It was quite terrifying. We were at the mall and everyone evacuated. I could sense the fear.

Whatever you do, do not use Butuan Online Groceries to deliver your shopping. The shoppers/deliverers will short your delivery and cheat you. Example....if you buy 100 grams of shrimp for 500 pesos, the shopper will order 80 grams and pocket the rest. They will do this with anything you order in which a weight purchase is involved. No one checks the weight of their order so they get away with it. I complained to the company when I found out what was happening and they couldn't care less. They blocked my number I'm sure because they never answered my call again after I complained.
